AS most of you will know, I'm nursing my son who has a spinal tumour which has left him to all intents and purposes disabled. He's had numerous operations over the last 18 months which has also meant me spending considerable lengths of time away from the computer. I've kept things going as best I could. However, I can't do with the additional workload which would be involved in transferring the group. If anyone fancies having a try, just let me know, you can soon be made a manager. The group is really too good to let go, but I don't think I could cope with the transfer at present. You can let me know at my email address, [email protected] Life is a bitch at times. Richard |

That's where the Gripes groups are Lori. I don't think we have much time left. Isn't it February we need to act by? xx |

I'm in the midst of transferring one of my lesser used groups over so if that works well of course I'll do the transfer. I'll keep you posted how it goes. Best wishes to you and your son too Rab. Kx |

Thanks everyone. If I can help in migrating I will do so with the greatest of pleasure. Kate, if you fancy having a go, crack on as they say here. Aly, you are underselling yourself. All it would probably need is a bit of help and you'd do it nae bother. Richard xxx |

I'm sure it can be moved. If a manager turns me into a manager I shall get onto it when I know it's safe. |

Righty ho, I've just discovered that it will only allow me to migrate MSN groups if I change them from members only to open groups, is everyone happy I do that before I commence? Kx |

Can you explain the difference between members only and open groups please Kate? Does it mean that anything written into the group can be seen by all? Thanks, xx |

| Your MSN Group Cannot Be Moved!
| | 12/01/2009 01:37:03 | We found your MSN Group is a members-only area. However, your MSN Group must be free to access without any authorizations to Aimoo Bots can crawl your archive pages >>Learn more. Would you please change your permissions in MSN Group or We are not able to move for you. And then go to your control panel > forum management > general setting > MSN Group Moving to re-apply to move. You will wait for another 7 days and be notified via PM after moving successully.
Have any questions about Moving MSN Groups, please visit here first and then contact us.
Best regards, Aimoo Team | | I'm just getting ready for uni so don't have time to check it out but if anyone has the time or inclination to do so feel free. It can't be moved without this change so it might be a bit of a moot point anyway. If nobody objects I shall be starting the migration on Thursday after work so let me know. Cheers, Kate x |

Kate, If we are to retain the group we appear to be coming up to Hobson's choice. It's probably better to do the migration and see who transfers with it....who joins Aimoo I mean. I'm already registered with them. Do it is the only option. Will you change the permissions? As manager you can do it! Richard. |
