It's ok, everything works now, brother added Windows Server 2000 to the network or something during the day, and it did the trick

 

I have been able to view all web pages, including LU, and I've been able to do everything, even use the chat room, apart from being able to post messages, and it's been pretty frustrating sitting here muted, reading all this lol

 

I've been out on the road all day since 8am, got home about 6pm, did a part of my exercise routine, had a bath, got dinner ready, spent an hour or 3 doing my paperwork for the day, now at 10pm I can finally post this lol

Yes it was a standalone, until my brother moved in about 3 weeks back.  He's accustomed to broadband, so upgraded my phone line to that, and networked us.
