five questions for our lovely cazzy

1. what is your favourite place to be

Would have to be our cottage without a doubt...no phone..no internet...you can only get there by boat...a place where you can let your kids and your dog run free and not be worried..and the only sounds you hear are the loons and the otters apart from a mating moose during their season . Apart from that , anywhere where there's a lake .

2. do you believe in love at first sight

when it comes to a partner..NO...but I fully believe in lust at first sight and I'm guilty of it almost every day !

Only love at first sight would have to be with your child...I know when I saw my son that I would die for him at any cost and do anything to be with him.

3. what attracted you to your partner and him to you

Attracted me to him...would have loved to have said it was a physical feature as he's quite yummy in just about every way but it's the way he challenges every thing I say and makes us converse on everything from trivial to serious. He never lets me away with anything ...and secretly I love it.

Attracted him to me ? ...I say he's like any typical man and would say (insert bountiful body part here ) ...but he says it's the way I never hold back on anything I feel ...and believe me he's had to put up fists before for my big mouth.

4. your most treasured possession

The St Christophers medal I wear that my dad gave to me just before he passed away. It used to be his ..and the chain is too long but it hangs closer to my heart that way ...and that's how it will stay !

5. what is your favourite alcoholic drink

can I say anything free that someone's bought for me ? Best drink is a free drink ! Other than that it would have to anything sickly sweet ...like coolers or kahlua or baileys. Altho most of the time I'm found with a glass of wine in my hand.

What do u do to earn ur pennies?

I'm trained as a Life Science Biologist..and spent almost 10 years in some facet of the hospital laboratory as a Haemotologist and mentor until I got sick. Then after treatment I couldn't face the hospital and death and suffering so tried my hand at teaching at the local college in Microanatomy and Microbiology but it still led to too much involvement with the hospital in our clinical portions. Soooo, I left and while flitting about jobs in the past few years I've been happy for over a year as a Recreation Administer for a local community centre. Basically my job is everything from setting up new programs, finding instructors, accounting, pleading for grants from the government to overseeing our after school programs and our skating facility and swimming pool. I'm all things to all people and altho involved it is ...I'm really enjoying it.

Where is the one place in the world that u really want to vist?

New Zealand...and if anyone has a room spare then let me know !

Have u ever done any extreme sports?

I've done a little rock climbing ..altho my fear of heights is horrible ( think it's more a fear of falling to my death tho) and it's because of the fear of heights that I haven't tried skydiving but I think that Patrick will be making me do a tandem dive or will disown me !

But what I love to do that would classify as an extreme sport is whitewater kayaking on a regular basis. I'm not an expert but I can hold my own and do a few tricks. You should see my 7 year old in his kayak...enough to make a mother's heart sink every time he does a roll .

What is ur ideal date? ( as in where u go and what u do?)

I love love love to go to the amusement park..Roller coasters are the most extreme aphrodisiac.

Well, beer and lazza would be a hard team to beat as heroes. Do you think you'd morph and go by the name of Bazza or Lazeer ? Or if you maintained individuality who would be the hero and who would be the sidekick ? Do either of you have the legs to pull off skin tight tights and a cape ?

Seriously tho, I'm lucky to find a hero everyday in anyone who can take what's thrown at them and make the best of it . Honourable mention goes to the little old lady volunteer called Constance who shows up 8-10 hours a day in the oncology unit that was her dear husbands last stab at getting well. She was always positive, and left little presents or small handscribbled pick me up notes to every patient receiving chemo who had had a bad time of it. I cherish the beaded charms she made me and glance at them when I'm feeling not so well .

Anything Italian ...pasta and sauces...used to think carbs were the devil but feck the devil ...gimme more.

I've actually been around the ocean in New Jersey when there was a shark sighting. It's mass panic and the beach becomes a safe harbour but you can't help but want to see it. Unfortunately, I never got a sighting.

I'd like to say I'd be honest...but no..I want to retire early just like everyone else . If you're so dumb to drop a winning ticket then you don't deserve to win. Besides, nothing like that drops without a purpose, I'd live guiltily for the rest of my life claiming it was divine intervention.

Umm, I did when I was a kid..we had two in particular in our backyard..one an apple tree that I used to chuck them in the neighbours pool and then claim innocence ...and a old maple tree that my dad built an awesome fort in . Sadly we took them both down when we built our pool .

Is the best answer ...On my feet ? I really don't have a lot of pairs of shoes..so they're all in the mudroom entrance...with the exception of a few fancy pairs in my closet.

I'm the only child ! Which I've been taunted by years saying that I was a spoiled brat and always will be...NO I'M NOT ...(throws tantrum) ...

what dog is your favourite breed

Ohhh...I'd have loved to have a great dane...but never could . I grew up with cocker spaniels and they're absolutely lovely.

do you have a cat

Yep, 2 ...Marty and Coochy. Both are 11 . Marty is big fat and orange long hair and his favourite things are food, sleep and food with an occasional cuddle. Coochy is wee grey and loves to be outside sleeping in the cars on the street who leave their windows open.

I really don't have a favourite...what I do have is a least favourite and that's country music. I never ever could get into it . Radio station in my car plays classic rock ...and I love singing to all 80's friday coz I remember that most ! (when I still had a memory) but in the house Stephens got alternative rock going like Simple Plan and Nickleback ( not bad for a 7 yr old lol )

2. Who is your fav singer

Arley you're just trying to recruit me for the Englebert Humperdinck fan club !

3. What kind of food would you prepare if having a dinner party for 6 people

Lasagna and all the fixings..caesar salad and garlic bread and lemon meringue pie for dessert. I make a mean lasagna.

4. Who would you like to meet in this world

I have a few choices for both good and bad reasons ...For evil reasons I'd like to meet Bush and kick him in the goolies (what are you thinking ya hick ??? ) ...or Bin Laden so I could hang him up by his nuts for eternity or any other world leader coz I don't have a good recommendation for any of them at the moment ...On the other hand ...for good reasons I'd love to meet the people online I've conversed with for so long ....altho given the devastation down south you'll have to come to mine Arley!

5. What country would you like to visit and why

Again...New Zealand...always wanted to and the whole Lord of the Rings thing did it for me....if I were to take Stephen somewhere it would be Japan so he could go crazy amongst all the anime (pokemon, yugioh, battle bdaman) .

6. Do you have a hobby?

I have tried every single hobby in the book and I just can't pinpoint one. I have a short attention span..worse than a child and I only function well if I'm multitasking. I've done knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, beadwork, sewing, woodcrafts, painting, gardening...etc etc and I have all the filled up boxes in the garage to prove it . I'm a craft of the month person...lol
