... seems to be mildly left-liberal or moderate in the posts I've seen him make.

Thanks Hayekian.

LochLomonder?   That name is new to me.

A little bit about North Dakota's political picture...........

We aren't that much different than any other State, in that we have liberals, conservatives -- and, of course, those who don't have a clue as to what they are, or where they stand on the issues.

However, I believe it fair to say that the majority of the conservatives in North Dakota live outside of the cities, in which our largest universities are located.

Grand Forks is home to the University of North Dakota (The Fighting Sioux).   Fargo is home to North Dakota State University (The Bison)    UND, Grand Forks, is known to be a school geared toward the intellectuals........liberals.    Fargo  (NDSU), is home to the more common man....as it is a school geared toward the agriculture sciences.

I could be wrong.......as there are exceptions to every rule.......but I'm guessing that LochLomonder is from Grand Forks.    I'll see if my hunch is correct by paying him a visit.

By the way, I believe LochLomonder may be only the third North Dakotan I've met on MSN.  The first was Dick Armey's sister.   Dick Armey.....U.S. Representative from Texas.......was originally from Cando, North Dakota......where I currently live.  Most of his family still lives here.

I'm not a native of Cando.    I'm from Glenburn, as is my mother's side of the family, dating back some 100 years.    Cando is 100 miles......exactly......due east of Glenburn.

Thanks for the info.  I look forward to chatting with LochLomonder.
