Hey all. I know it has been a while since I last posted. Been so busy with school and been having lots of 'female problems' and they are still thinking of operating. Anyway, I have a small, no, make that soon to be LARGE problem. As some of you know, my youngest child has ADHD and is taking ritalin for it. Now, he has been on Medicaid up until this month and the case was supposed to have been reviewed for renewal. I cannot have it renewed because my new husband and I make too much money. PLUS, at this time Austin does not live with me because he got thrown out of daycare for his behavior and I have no one to keep him while I work. Here, comes the problem, his dad (that he lives with) will not go and get him on Medicaid. I cannot afford Austin's meds out ot pocket and I do not have any other insurance. Dad is perfectly able to go get MEdicaid (he does not work, so it is not like there is a time problem). He just flatly refuses to do it. And I know he has no problem letting Austin go without his medicine, which as we all know, only hurts Austin. So what should I do? I really have no one to keep him while I work right now, so I don't know how I could get him back. Should I report dad to DHR? I'm really stuck here. Any advice you all can give me would really be appreciated! Lisa |
