As a Rescue Resource and Support Site, our members have gone and go daily through some pretty emotional experiences. These experiences can leave one reeling with emotion and feelings which they need to share with others. That is what we are here for, to share these feelings and get them out in the open where they may be dealt with, discussed and understood. We expose ourselves via our discussions and need to know that we can trust each other with these fragile feelings. We need to know that, after the horrors and pain we see and feel dealing with abuse, neglect and misery, we are in a safe place. That we will not ourselves be abused, neglected or mistreated. We each give honesty and respect and we each deserve it in return. We have had a couple of incidences where our trust was abused and we were played with emotionally and intellectually and that cannot be condoned at the Corral. We must be absolutely sure that none of us will be taken advantage of nor will our trust and comraderie be abused or used. There is no need to try to be someone else, someone whom you think you should be, we are interested in YOU as YOU are. We are not perfect, any of us, and that is a good thing becasue the only perfect people I have ever met were perfect A******'s. and we aren't them! We are all here because of a shared love of horses and other animals, including the human kind, and our dislike for users and abusers and people with agendas. All we require for membership in the corral is that you be as honest with others as they are with you. Respect, Honesty and Kinship are the main requirements for membership. If there is a personality clash, take it to the emails, the same with personality attractions, this is a rescue site and we need to keep the focus on this. Friendship and kinship are the ships we sail on and we must remain loyal to each other and protect each other. We are all about second chances here, but we cannot tolerate someone who will deliberately hurt another member. So please, let us rally together and protect each other as we try to protect the animals we are here for. Janice (Rosemadi site creator and manager) |
