Hi all.... Well Nugget seems to be settling in pretty good. I do have one problem with him though, he freaks when I try to clean his feet. I tried tying him up today and brushed him (which he liked) thinking if I did this he might be more relaxed when it came time for his feet. It didn't work, as soon as I slide my hand down his front leg he started flipping out. I managed to get his leg up and clean half of his foot. But that was it. He started rearing, then bucking, then pawing the ground and snorting. He had this lil look in his eye that said...'lady if you think your gonna touch my feet ever again, I am gonna kick the crap outta you!' I made sure to end the lil session by lifting his foot again until he relaxed for a second, so we weren't ending with him in control. Just wondering if any one has any suggestions on a better way to handle this problem? Thanks in advance. Jodie |

The beauty of minis is you are bigger and stronger.I trap Beans leg between my thigh and calf just behind my knee and gives me all kinds of control, or you take a rope and loop around his foot(ankle) and pick them up that way it does get you out of kick range. You can also keep him off balance enough that he will worry more about standing then fighting.and ever tiem he trows a fit i woudl whoa him and make him mind as he is a stallion and you must some times even with minis be the BOSS and if that means samcking his but then smack it or they will run all over you no matter how small or cute they are.
