Usually almost everytime we jump, only some days does he not do it. When he stops, he will be cantering up, everything is going good, and then all of a sudden he slams on the brakes and puts his head down. For some reason, I can never stay on, I always go over his head and on the jump. I need help! How can i get him to stop this? I've tried carrying a riding crop with me and tapping him on the butt before each jump but it doesnt always work." forums.about.com/ab-horses/messages?lgnf=y&msg=34963.1 Not Gaining Weight Toni asks: "I have a 5 year old thoroughbred with fractured cannon turned out in pasture now feeding 16 quarts 12% feed. Wormed about 2 weeks ago but still not putting on weight like i would like to see. He is about 17.2, very linky and thin-built and was thin when i got him after he had broken down in a work for a race. I am concerned with him not picking up weight as fast as I thought he might.... Any thoughts from you all would maybe help me get him looking better. The neighbors probably think I am starving him but I feed him plenty." forums.about.com/ab-horses/messages?lgnf=y&msg=34989.1 Quote of the Week If I had a horse, I'd ride off in the sunset, where dreams, and shadows lie. To a life, where pain and sorrow don't exist, and to where hopes, and dreams become reality. --Lindsay Turcotte Special Messages for EquiSearch Members | Fence Me In!
