he was fine though I just walked him as he is still a bit swollen in his throat. When we got back home I took him around the barrels as its been about 6 weeks since I last rode him around them. The old boy will make a decent barrel horse.Jeff worked Fancy he did try Jag but says he is more comfy with Fancy so he can ride her.Alex made a few trips on Jag as well and did fine.Brodie even tried his hand with mom behind him and then mom leading .Jag is very careful when I am leading Brodie he places one foot at a time and walks so slow with B on board. Its cool.I do need to brush up on my barrel training as its been many many years since I ran cans.
But he is coming along well.I can hardly wait till the next fun day so I can expose him to some more stuff. Will be cool when Niner gets home after a month at cow school. She will be going in august then I can really have a turn and burn horseLOL.She is a lot more compact then Jag and Fancy so will be able to turn a lot tighter with less work then them.Jag is a quick learner thats for sure as soon as you drop your weight and grab the horn he is tucking to turn.Makes it harder for Jeff. I think as Jag does so anticipate weight chsnges as cues LOL.Anyways I am off to ride again this morning and hopefully a couple 3 or 4 trips around the cans .I do want to get some poles made as well so we can practise at that as well. The boys are so gung hoe about this gymkana I am going to get my mileage worth out of it.
