When igot Dixie back in July she not only had bad feet but big issues with them being cleaned and picked up.She showed me that I was not too fat to fly LOL and we have sedated her twice to get her feet doen.
Well had Ian out to do the herd and today decided that we woudl try her with me feeding her grain while he was trimming her and it worked .Though I do have to give Alex credit as he does play with her feet aand she has gotten pretty good for him so was hoping that she now trusted us enough to let us and she did.I am rreally happy with how well she has come around to life here.
But did get some distressing news about the man I spoke to about starting Viper and have decided that I will do it myself and then send him to Greg at the feed lot.Have heard that he came be pretty rough on some of his younghorses and can really lay a licking on them.Viper is a trusting, giving boy and I have been on him and Alex has rode him while I Lead him and Brodie has been riding him since before he was weaned .So I will be riding him come spring not some one else.I can't take the chance that he would hurt Viper .I had heard many good things about him but this was not a good thing and I am just not willing to take the chance and have all the work I have done so far ruined cause i was afaird he would buck me off LOL.So I guess I am back into teh horse training buisness again and willhave to be teaching Steve how to pony a young horse with a rider on its back.maybe i will get baack into those size 7 jeans after all .
