It is so difficult to lose anyone you love. Whether it is an animal, or a person. When we own and love creatures with short life spans, we accept at their aquisition that we will have to say goodbye at some point in time. We have had some of the best animals that God has had to offer, so perfictly suited to our own personalities that the joy of owning them has been filled with indescribable joy.
I thank God every day that I have my beliefs and that there are many witness to the afterlife, through the bible, other scripturess and people who have crossed over and come back to tell us about it. Like George Ritchies' book called "Return From Tomorrow". I am sure that other members can name plenty of near death (or rather "after-life" experiances, articles and books.
Two years ago in February, my son died as well. I have no doubt that I will see him again. I worry mostly that I will not lead a life good enough BE with him. He was part of my family here, as were all of the animals we have had to say good bye to. I want them, and him to be part of my own family, there, as well.
Here he is with some of our animals....
