SAVE THE TIGERS--UPDATE ON CALIFORNIA'S RESCUED CATS
You have undoubtedly heard about the tiger and leopard cubs who
recovered for the past year at The Fund for Animals' Wildlife
Rehabilitation Center in southern California after being rescued from
a pseudo-sanctuary called "Tiger Rescue," where exotic cats were
living in filthy, cramped cages, without water, and were breeding
illegally. That was just the first chapter in the story. Click here
for an update on the tiger situation, the crisis on the ownership of
exotic animals, and how you can help:
PLEASE SUPPORT BIZARRO'S ANTI-FUR MESSAGE!
Dan Piraro has been educating millions of readers about the cruelty of
the fur trade with his popular and widely syndicated comic strip
"Bizarro." Unfortunately, some furriers and fur owners have complained
to their newspapers about this fur-free message. It is important for
animal advocates to let newspaper editors know how much you appreciate
"Bizarro" addressing issues of animal cruelty. If your local paper
carries "Bizarro," please send a polite and appreciative letter to the
editor or quick note showing your support. Just a few sentences from
you will help allow millions of Americans to continue starting their
days with a message of compassion. For more information about the many
animal-friendly themes featured in "Bizarro," please visit:

MAKE SUPER TUESDAY A SUPER DAY FOR ANIMALS
Today on "Super Tuesday" as ten states hold caucuses and primaries,
it's an important reminder of why animal advocates should become
involved in the political process. Here at The Fund for Animals, we do
not support or oppose candidates for elected office because we are a
charitable organization, but we can tell you how crucial it is for you
to become involved and vote. You can help decide who represents you at
the federal and state levels, and whether they share your views on
animal protection. And you can influence bills that protect or harm
animals by writing letters, making phone calls, visiting with your
legislators, and simply becoming engaged in the process.
If you are not yet registered to vote, you can do so by visiting
Congress.org's election site at:
