Hi Guys:
Here is the latest update on Cat's progress after her scare last week with the falling ice and snow off the arena roof.
This will probably be the last post I put on here regarding her training as I don't get the impression that anyone belong to this site is exactly interested. Quite apparent by the lack of posted comments when I do put a post up. So in the future I will just email to my online buddies that I know are sincerely interested in her progress and not waste any more space on her with my posts.
I thought this was a horsey site with members who are interested in associating with other horsey people and benefiting from other horsey peoples experiences. I guess it has changed from when I first joined.
Later..

"Cat is coming back well from her scare. There was quite a bit of ice coming off the roof today (the only down sided of the warmer weather) and she was edgy but behaved well. I still held off on some more trotting, just to keep her stress level in check, but I am getting tons of really good work done in the walk as far a working over her back, bending etc. All very useful and will help her a lot in the long run.
The mouth issue seems a bit better - perhaps the new bit but more likely just relaxation. I must say that I find her quite a sensitive horse (nothing to do with "spookiness", "hot-ness" - neither of which she possesses - or any other trait). She seems to be physically sensitive and quite forward looking, all good things but tendencies that bear consideration in the long run. She does have that "carriage horse" inclination to drop her back, raise her neck and run a bit when stressed (I think this conformational to some degree - Friesians, Welsh Cobs and similarly shaped horses seem to tend to go this way) - nothing to be concerned about but it's easier to head off trouble if you know what it might look like comin'!
She has paired up with the new mare in her paddock and they have pretty much cut ties with the other two. As long as they're peaceful . . .
That's the news for now. I'll check back in in a few days.
Talk to you soon,
R."
