Hi,
Just giving you an update. Good thing you didn't attempt to come up on Saturday - quite awful. Hope you got your daughter back to school safely.
Cat is feeling a lot more comfortable with things now. She is trotting both ways, steering and soft at the walk, and coping well with noises etc. in the arena. I think I am seeing a little more of her real personality now - when she arrived I thought she was a little "shut down" for a young horse but she is starting to come out of herself as she gets stronger and more adept. She is starting to poke into things a bit more and is brighter in general. It isn't uncommon for a young horse that's had a few changes to be a little reserved for awhile.
She is better in her mouth but still fussier than I would like. I also thought her breath smelled a bit "off" today - usually a sign of a stuck cap. Hopefully we can arrange for Kevin at some point. Would it help or hurt to be able to offer him some other horses to do?
Do you want the West Nile inoculation? The vet is coming next week to do Odette's horses but she is not insisting on it for anyone else as WN isn't contagious horse to horse. Your call. Is there anything else you would like her to have? Odette would like to worm next week as well. I think the plan is that she and I will buy the wormer then settle up with everyone individually.
Talk to you soon,
R.
