Alex lunged Fancy in the morning and worked with her for halter.Later that day I saddled up for some more intense under saddle training LOL.

Fancy is nice old girl and fairly well broke and has always been a very reliable horse to ride.I know she works cattle like a hot damn but on the trail or else where she has always been a pokey joe.So first order of bluishness with her will be cueing her have her pay attention to cues instead of doing her 'DO I HAVE TO " first.Loping is not high on her to do list list either so I worked on loping circles with her and keeping her going .I knew fancy had a lot of ability and that she had a good start when she was broke to ride.It was most awesome for me to show Steve and Alec just what this mare can do and i may just to be a foo foo head enter there little reining class but going to get the rule book first LOL.sorry wondering again.

I worked with a snaffle and though she was a tad pouty about that she did drop her head flex and really how me what she can do.I got side tracked playing on her stops and turns for a bit but I just had to show off LOL.I can lightly pick up the reins and tilt my pelvis and she is sliding and slight pressure and she wills pin either way it was so cool for me as it have been a couple of decades since i really did any fine training or using all that stuff i learned as a teenager.

Once i get her loping well and picking up her cues right away I will work on collection though I have to say she was beginning to collect herself towards the end of the lesson yesterday. And she only picked up the wrong lead once .

I really watched Dixie yesterday and have decided though she is nice quiet and relatively easy to work she was not started with a good enough foundation in ground work or ring work.Out on a trial she is a peach and you would assume she has some real training in there some where buts he does seem to be laking important fundamentals. So I am going to ground driving and start from scratch so to speak. She will not flex and I am not that keen on a bosal mostly cause i have never used one till i got her and my personal preference is a snaffle bit so .Dixie lesson will be starting as soon as I can replace my driving lines LOL until then Alex will just fight with her and she makes that kid use his seat.,weight and feet which will help him out in the long run anyway.

I lunged Niner as well just so she would not feel left out.

So that was my day and what a wonderful day it was
