Had a lesson on Cat Tuesday.  Went well for the most part.  She was a basket case though when I was getting her ready as it was early in the a.m. and she does not like being brought into the barn away from her paddock buddies.  I thought I was going to kill her with her shinanigans while getting ready.  She was dancing all over the aisle in the cross ties while I was trying to groom her.  She crapped 4 times in the aisle including the last time all over her bridle and bit which was hanging on the stall door.  I was so ticked at her by this time that if I was a meany I would have put it on her crap and all.  But I always remember that she is just a baby and can't help herself and will eventually grow out of it.  Which she better because I can not stand a horse that goes berserk when taken away from their buddies.  Michele (coach) reassured me that her 5yo filly Taz was the same way only she would rear and break the ties and call to her friends and then one day she noticed that she wasn't doing it anymore.  She was so used to her doing it that she never realized exactly when she had stopped doing it. lol  At least Cat doesn't rear or scream for her buddies she just gets very stressed and agitated and gets this look in her eyes like she is borderline meltdown.  This is not a problem when I go out at night to ride her as the other horses are already in so she is fine but she is going to have to get used to it as the days are getting longer and they are staying out longer so she will be brought in from her buddies more often.  Especially once it gets warmer I prefer to ride early a.m.  Funny thing is no matter how stressed she is in the aisle she is perfect once you get up on her back.  Only thing is I was so stressed by the time I finished getting her ready that I had to ask Michele to get up and start her so I could calm down before I got on her.  Ended up being an excellent lesson after all.  She was quite happy at the end of it because she got to hand graze on the nice sweet new grass and then I put her back out naked.  Didn't take her 2 minutes before she dropped and rolled.  Sure was glad I didn't spend an excessive amount of time grooming her after the lesson when I saw that.

Will keep you posted as to our progress.  Michele (coach) wants us to start participating in clinics as she is so impressed with how quickly she is coming along.  For those of you who are new here Cat is a 3 coming 4yo next Tuesday Cleveland Bay/TB filly that I purchased from a breeder near Kim 1 yr ago last September.  If you want to know more about her training you can go back in the previous posts in the training files to catch up.

Have a great day people.

We glad your lesson ended on a good note and I hate to say this  Jackie but I would not put up with that behavior from any of my horses ,young or old.
I can't wait to see some updated pics of Cat.
I am sorry it took me so long to resond to your post. Its been a hellish month here for stress and bull pucky.so bad that I ended up with shingles on my face.I have taken a  few steps back with my online time and trying to get my stress and worry level down( was doing that before the shingles struck).
