Greetings Dear Ones, It has come to my attention that it is time for us to put together an outline for our coven about the foundation of Light & Shadows and what our belief is. Frankly, I need help with this and I am asking you to bring your thoughts here as well. I thought we could have a thread for each subject and discuss them as needed. I want your thoughts ond your ideas. Qyzida brought this up and it is a very important matter as it will be the foundation of Light & Shadows and all that is taught here for the foreseeable future...so you, my wonderful priestesses, (and priests as they get here) are truly helping to form the rules of our coven. Well when building a house, you know you are going to need some basic stuff, wood, nails, tools, and such. so we have the Rede, and the Law of three, and basic "rules" of ethics. Then we need to outline a creed of sorts, something short sweet and memorizable, almost like a spell - which pantheons of Dieties we ascribe to
- which tradition we follow or, are trying to create... the Path we are walking
- the core purpose and goal of our faith.... where that Path may lead
then outline a glimps of what can be expected to be experienced here - what are the values we promote as far as ritual conduct, board ettiquette, dedication to the coven, dedication to achieving goals
- what coven duties are expected of each degree level of trainee
- what etiquette is expected of uninitiated members
This is something that should be presented in a positive light , not a truckload of "THOU SHALL NOT" crap, but with mo mistake about what will and will not be tolerated., such as flaming. evengelizing, etc. ad nauseum Hows that sound? Q. |

Thanks, but all I did was say an apple is an apple.... now we need to write it out so the reader has juice dripping off their virtual chins when they bite into the apple. THAT is the hard work! |

I have gotten so many of these things scattered around on the boards of L&S...I guess it will be a scavanger hunt of the boards...lol... As you run across things that you feel directly applies to this area..go ahead and transfer it here. We are liable to have a book of tenets before we are through...LOL.
