Dragon Wing Cookies
1/2 cup butter
1 cup ground almonds
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup brown sugar packed
1 cup carob powder
1 cup flower
1 tsp baking powder
juice of an orange
2 tsp grated orange peel
Cream together butter and sugar. Add vanilla. Grind almonds in a blender and mix into butter/sugar mixture. Mix in the orange juice and peel. Combine flour, baking powder and carob powder ... and add slowly to the creamed mixture, stirring until well blended. Roll out on a lightly floured surface to 3/4 inch thickness and cut with triangle shaped cookie cutter. Bake at 350 degrees for 11 minutes.
