This is where incenses and oils that begin with the letter J will go.

JUNIPER ESSENTIAL OIL USES

First, a caution: juniper essential oil is not indicated for use by
pregnant women. And while the flavor of juniper berries in gin does no
harm, we do not recommend ingesting any other part of the juniper. And
please be sure to use all-natural essential oil of juniper, not a
synthetic.

For Cellulite
Because juniper promotes circulation and the dissolving of fat, it can
be used to effectively treat cellulite.

Mix 20 to 30 drops of juniper essential oil with 4 ounces of carrier
oil (olive oil works just fine) and use to massage areas of the body
where cellulite is an issue.

For Acne and Oily Skin
Juniper's antibacterial properties are helpful in treating acne, and
its astringency helps with oily skin conditions. Combine 10 drops
essential oil of juniper with 1 ounce of jojoba oil and apply to face,
then wash with cleanser and rinse with warm water.

To Treat Dandruff or to Promote Hair Growth
Use the same mixture as above--10 drops juniper oil to 1 ounce jojoba
oil--and apply to scalp to promote hair growth and to eradicate
dandruff. Allow to remain on scalp for 15 minutes to half an hour,
then shampoo as usual.

For Anxiety
Add 10 to 20 drops of juniper oil to a warm bath and soak your anxieties away.

DRIED JUNIPER NEEDLE USES

If you're lucky enough to have a juniper bush or tree growing nearby,
you can harvest the branches downed by wind or storms and dry them to
use in various ways.

Relaxing, Uplifting, and Purifying Incense
Burn dried juniper needles to cleanse your home of negativity and to
promote feelings of relaxation, wellbeing, and positivity.

Juniper Room Blessing
Place a sprig of juniper over the door in your meditation or exercise
room as an aid to your activities.Helpful Hints
As with any essential oil, please consult with a health professional
before using juniper oil if you are nursing, or have any medical
condition that would suggest caution with essential oils. Never use
anything but small amounts of essential oils. Juniper oil is not
recommended for use by pregnant women.

Jasmine Oil

In India, jasmine was called the "Queen of the Night" because its earthy scent
was thought to be an aphrodisiac. Native to Arabia, India and China, the
flowers of Jasminum grandiflorum are harvested before dawn so that the delicate
aroma won't evaporate in the sun. Maybe this is why jasmine has long  possessed
an air of mystery, sensuality and romance. The absolute oil is extracted using
a special solvent that is later evaporated. This yields a rich, heavy and thick
oil with a floral scent, one of the most popular ancient oils used in perfumes.
This oil's healing properties are many; Known to midwives as a 'woman's oil,'
it can be used during labor to induce contractions, ease cramps, stimulate milk
production and banish fear. In addition, jasmine is known to encourage
self-confidence, optimism and intuition. The oil's antispasmodic, analgesic
and sedative properties help relieve pain, muscle spasms and tension.
Furthermore, its antiseptic and conditioning qualities make it an excellent
remedy for acne or dry skin.
***TAKE CARE!!!!!!***
Jasmine oil possesses a very intense aroma and  should not be used too much or for too long. When jasmine oil is administered  in too high a concentration or for a long period of time, the sweet, heavy  aroma might lead to dizziness, headaches, and even
nausea!! It is VERY  important not to let Jasmine-absolute oil evaporate in your aromatherapy lamp  or diffuser for any longer than an hour and a half
each day!!
            ****TAKE CARE!***

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jasmine oil contains benzyl acetate, geraniol, linalool, benzyl alcohol and
jasmon, which calm and relax the body and mind. As a
mild analgesic and  antispasmodic, the oil is especially effective for
easing menstrual cramps.  Jasmine oil also has a skin-softening action that
treats dry skin and  dermatitis; its astringent and antibacterial actions
treat skin conditions, as well.
     ~~~~~~~~~~
For coughs jasmine oil helps relax the bronchial tubes
and calms the urge to  cough. It can be evaporated in an aromatherapy lamp or
mixed with sweet-almond  oil for a chest balm.
     ~~~~~~~~~
Blend jasmine, sweet-almond, lavender and sandalwood oils and use in a bath to
nourish dry skin, dermatitis and eczema. Jasmine oil will also help to treat
oily skin and acne by killing bacteria and regulating sebum production. As an
astringent, it can help tighten wrinkled skin.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The relaxing, warm aroma of jasmine oil helps sooth physical tension caused by
anxiety, stress and depression. When mixed with clary sage and ylang-ylang oils
in an aromatherapy lamp or diffuser, jasmine oil helps
to assure a sound sleep.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mix two tablespoons of sweet almond oil with two drops each of jasmine, roman
chamomile and clary sage oils. To relieve menstrual cramps, massage the entire
lower abdomen with the blend, then cover with a heating pad.
    ~~~~~~~~~
Jasmine's skin-conditioning and emollient properties make it an effective
agent against scaly, reddened skin. Gently massage the affected areas several
times daily with two tablespoons of avocado-seed oil and two drops each of
jasmine, lavender and neroli oils.
   ~~~~~~~~~~~
For a nourishing treatment for dry hair; mix 4 tablespoons of jojoba oil with
4 drops of jasmine, 5 drops of sandalwood, three drops of rosemary and two
drops of clary sage oils. Add to hair and leave it on for up to one hour. Then
apply shampoo without water....blend and rinse!!
     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I love this one!! Mix two cups of fine sea salt with two drops each of jasmine
and rose oils and add to the bath. It will soothe and relax!!!!!!!
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jasmine-absolute oil is laborious to produce and thus quite expensive!!!! To
use less of it in your aromatherapy lamp, mix three drops of jasmine oil with
one tablespoon of jojoba oil!!!!!
Juniper Oil
   The resinous essential oil is useful in protection, purification and healing blends.
Jasmine Oil
   Symbolic of the Moon and of the mystieries of the night.  Jasmine essential oil (or absolute) is a wonderfully evocative aroma.  Though incredibly expensive, one precious drop can be added to love, psychic awareness, peace and spirituality blends.  It is also useful for sexuality.  Do, however, avoid synthetic jasmines!
