What about the animal companions who are so very much a part of your family? Can numerology be applied to cats, dogs, and other beloved pets? Indeed it can! Numerology name analysis, like sun sign astrology, often provides an overview of a pet's personality. It may also hint at some of the challenges and joys that you will face as a pet owner.
But a word of caution is in order here: We do not recommend that you use numerology to pick a particular pet for your household. In animal shelters everywhere, there are fabulous cats and dogs awaiting a loving home such as yours. If you are seeking canine or feline companionship, by all means visit organizations such as
http://www.petfinde<WBR>r.org/ Or look in your phone book for your nearest animal shelter. The decision to adopt an animal is a very personal one. And the factors to consider are often as complex as finding the right mate. So take the time to find a good match. It's worth all the effort. Just don't be put off if a given animal's numbers don't initially add up to your liking. Chances are that cat or dog has many fine qualities that will make it well worth your while. Then when you get it home, by all means use this page to get a better understanding of your new friend. And may you and your pet be blessed with love for many years to come!
Numerology Calculations for Pets
The numerology calculations for pets are basically the same as for people. The only difference is that you don't have to do so many of them. For example, you may not know your animal companion's precise day, month, and year of birth. And that's okay. A lot of the complicated "human calculations" don't really fit in terms of pets. And they are more likely to confuse you. That is why we recommend that you basically analyze your pet's "everyday" name and leave it at that.
What do we mean by a pet's "everyday" name? Well, some people like to give long, grandiose names to their pets. They may name their beloved schnauzer "Master Thurston Howell III." Or their cuddly calico cat might be christened "Miss Kitty von Snooty." We even know of one family with six children, who all wanted to take part in the naming of the dog. That is how their dog officially came to be known as "Turnip Daisy Sunshine Penelope Spotty Treat."
Can you imagine having to give a command to a dog with such a long-winded name?
"Turnip Daisy Sunshine Penelope Spotty Treat, come!"
"Turnip Daisy Sunshine Penelope Spotty Treat, sit!"
"Turnip Daisy Sunshine Penelope Spotty Treat, down!"
Try that on your dog sometime and one of two things is likely to happen. Either that animal will be rolling on the floor with laughter at the silliness of its owner. Or it will get so bored that it will wander off. This is probably why that family of six kids eventually settled on calling their dog simply "Turnip." Officially, of course, it was still Turnip Daisy Sunshine Penelope Spotty Treat. And every kid was pleased that they got their choice of a name. But the dog's everyday name was plain old Turnip. And that's the name worth analyzing for numerology purposes.
Whether your pet is a mutt or a purebred, it makes no difference. Use the name that you use on a daily basis--and forget the fancy titles. Honest to goodness, your beloved cat or dog doesn't care about those extra names. He or she only cares about what name you use when you put out the bowl for dinner!
Performing Pet Calculations
Calculating your pet's name is as easy as calculating your own. For instructions on this, visit Numerology and the Secrets of Your Name. Just disregard the advice about using the first, middle, and last name (as they exist on the birth certificate)<WBR>. Except for certain pedigrees, very few animals come with "papers" or "birth certificates.<WBR>" Instead use whatever names actually apply in daily life. This could be one word, two words, or possibly three. But if it's anything longer than three words, chances are you are "putting on the dog" and not really using its everyday name. Also, if the final total of your pet's name happens to be a Master Number (11 or 22), do make a note of it. Then when you are done, have fun reading the interpretations that follow:
Pet Name Number Interpretations
One Pets -- If your pet's name "breaks down" into a one, then get ready for some grand battles! One's tend to be pushy and they love the spotlight. On the plus side, they probably won't mind posing for the camera. Even in one of those silly Santa Claus outfits. That is, if you can catch them in just the right mood. On the down side, you may need to be extra patient around training issues. Since one's tend to be bossy, they will run your household if you let them.. Gently, patiently, and humanely let them know who is really the boss. Then invite a few friends over and let your pet show off for their benefit as well.
Two Pets -- Chances are your two pet loves being outdoors. Why? Because they thrive on beauty, nature, and harmony. So stick a leash on your indoor cat or dog and take them for a nice walk Given their two natures, these animals probably spend a little more time than others in grooming themselves. If you are lucky, they may even enjoy being bathed--without all the usual fuss. But avoid loud arguments, blaring music, and unnecessary clutter. Two animals hate anything that smacks of chaos or disharmony.
Three Pets -- Three pets are party animals. They generally love to eat and enjoy meeting new people and going new places. Because they are naturally adorable, your friends may occasionally sneak them biscuits and other snacks that aren't good for them. So watch their diet and their weight carefully. Also, these people-loving animals may have a tough time with separation anxiety. If you absolutely must leave them alone for long periods, make sure they have plenty of toys and leave music or a television playing in the background. Then when you walk in the door, be ready for one happy and joyous reunion!
Four Pets -- Four pets like to know "what's what." They thrive on routine. So no matter how hectic your life becomes, stick with a regular schedule of meal times, walks, and play periods. Seriously, that four pet has some kind of internal clock and will get cranky if you make it wait too long for a meal or a ball toss. Whenever possible, introduce any necessary changes to the pet's schedule or environment in a slow, gradual way. Your pet will love you for it. And to keep it from getting stuck in a rut, it's important to "shake things up" a little bit from time to time. Just do it in a way that meets with your pet's approval and you will have a loyal companion for life.
Five Pets -- Five pets are natural wanderers. The only problem is that sometimes they wander too much. So unless you have a nice fenced-in yard, never turn this pet loose without close supervision. In fact, never turn any pet loose without close supervision. All sorts of things can happen to our beloved animals when they are allowed to stray. Unlike the four pet, five pets crave variety. So give them a special treat from time to time. But like three pets, you may have to keep an eye on their weight. Also, five pets are very sensual creatures. So don't be surprised if they roll in some funky smell on the ground. To you it may be positively disgusting--<WBR>but to their snouts it is fine perfume!
Six Pets -- Generally speaking, six pets are a very patient lot. They make great "service animals" and love to feel they are helping out around the house. So teach them to fetch the morning newspaper if you can. Or assign them some other little "chore." More than other animals, six pets are naturally tuned into the needs of the family. If someone is sick, chances are that six pet will stick by the ill person's side. Or if someone is having an argument, the six pet may sometimes intervene. They worry more about pleasing the people in their lives than they do about caring for their own needs. So if you have a six pet, don't take it for granted. Shower it with love, praise, and the occasional reward!
Seven Pets -- Seven pets, like seven people, are sometimes loners. It's not that they don't love you or love being around you, it's just that they need to hang out by themselves for a while. In a sense, they are the philosophers of the animal kingdom. They think about the big questions. For example, three pets spend a lot of time thinking about their next meal. Whereas seven pets wonder about things like, "Where does that food really come from anyhow?" And if they could read the label on the can or bag, they probably would! Of course, it's not good for animals to spend too much time by themselves. So if you catch them staring too long at the light sparkling on the window pane, bring them back to reality with one of their favorite toys. They really do need your company more than they let on!
Eight Pets -- Male or female, eight pets are the "drama queens" of the animal kingdom. When they are bored or frustrated, they will sometimes pull mischievous stunts just for the excitement. Most of the time, however, they spend their leisure hours thinking up devious ways to enjoy the finer things in life. When your back is turned, that eight pet is inclined to hop up on all those forbidden places: like your nice soft bed or the fancy sofa in the living room. It makes them feel in charge! Likewise, they may come to the dinner table with one of those pitiful expressions that just begs for food. Do not, however, give in to such nonsense. Gently but firmly, stick to the rules you have set for your household. Also, there may be a few issues around "pecking order"--especially if you have other pets in the household. But don't worry too much about this. If you indulge your pet occasionally, and respect his or her unusual intelligence, they will eventually
settle down and mellow out. And one thing is for certain: You will never be bored with an eight pet in your life!
Nine Pets -- At various times, your nine pet will display all the qualities of the other pets listed above (One through Eight). It's as though they need to try a little bit of everything before they mellow into older age. At the same time, there is a timeless quality about these animals. Even as youngsters, they have an "old soul" quality. And ironically, in later life, they often seem more youthful. So nine pets are sometimes hard to pin down. But do watch what you think when you are around a nine pet. Like so many animals, regardless of number, they are especially sensitive to your psychic vibes. And so what if they are sometimes mysterious? In a pinch, these animals will do everything they can to protect you.
Eleven Pets -- The Eleven is a Master Number that "breaks down" into a two. So basically all that applies to the two pet above, applies to your animal as well. It's just that occasionally these eleven animals will respond to the world at a higher vibration. Eleven pets don't just thrive in atmospheres of beauty and harmony, they try to create it in whatever ways they can. So don't get too upset if your dear pet sometimes makes a mess of the living room. For all you know, they might be trying to make an artistic statement. Or a suggestion that you finally rearrange the furniture! Naturally psychic animals, they are at their best when they are spreading joy around your household--and the neighborhood.
Twenty-Two Pets -- Twenty-two is a higher vibration for the number four. So everything said about a four pet applies to your pet as well. In addition to being in touch with your innermost thoughts, twenty-two's notice changes on a global scale. For example: Some pets may react strangely just before there is a calamity in the family or an earthquake about to strike. Keep an eye on that twenty-two and you might be warned of impending danger. For the most part, however, your twenty-two pet is loyal and reliable. And appreciates your showing the same qualities. Who knows? It's quite possible that your twenty-two pet may have even been with you in a previous lifetime--in some form or other.
Should You Change Your Pet's Name to Get a Better Numerology Vibration?
Believe it or not, this question already came up on our "Things People Ask About Numerology" page. In general, we recommend that you accept the animal's name as is, especially if it is a shelter adoption. Remember--all numbers have their pluses and minuses. And if you let them, your animal companions have much to teach you. So open up to your pet and the possibilities of its name number. Regardless of its number, all animals respond to love and kindness. Over time, a little bit of you is sure to rub off on on your dear pet. And a little bit of your dear pet will rub off on you. Just be patient and things will balance out for the better
