Child of Eternity
The Sleeping beauty that is winter,
melts beneath a golden splinter,
rolling wheel of life that turns,
Night and Day on equal terms.
Caught between the warm and cold,
we shed the life and thoughts of old,
renewing body, mind and soul,
blessing that which makes us whole.
Goddess of the Dawn and East,
Smile upon us as we feast,
leaving flowers in your stead,
for us to don the maiden's head.
Dress us in your coloured light,
slowly holding back the night,
growing green the fertile land,
beneath the magic of your hand.
