~Magick Broom~

Materials needed

Fallen tree branch made of willow, oak, or pine ( if you can’t find this a dowel can be used) about 3 or 4 feet high. Raffia

Not all materials are available every where so here is a list of several items that you can use, choose an odd number from these, for example 3 different kinds, or 5, or 7. 5 different kinds would be ideal, for it would represent the pentacle, with the 4 elements and spirit.

If you can get fresh herbs this would be great, but dried is all right. Each of these should also contain an add number, but as you would like your broom to be full, chose seven or more branches of each item

Cedar, willow, oak , birch, ash, elder, holly

Sagebrush, peppermint, lavender, parsley, thistle, spanish moss, chamomile, bay, broom, valerian, rosemary, lemon, lemon verbena, burdock, basil, fern, ivy, mugwort, mullein, pepper tree, pine, dill, larkspur,

You can add to your broom,

Feathers, these should be white, usually feathers that have been found.

Crystals, aquamarine,calcite,quartz,

Shells, cone shells, moon shells,abalone.

Once you have all your items selected, make for yourself several bouquets and put on the side.

Charge your plants with purification. You can say I charge these herbs with purification to cleanse my circle within.

Tie the raffia at one end of the stick, leaving a long cord for wrapping you bouquets. As you tie the knot (3 knots) say I tie in purification.

Select a bouquet and wrap the raffia around the first bouquet, then add another bouquet tying them securely, then add another bouquet, and so on until you are done.

Once done with your broom, bless you broom with the moon water. Saying as you sprinkle the water on the broom, Blessed Moon Water, wash it clean, both that is seen, and unseen.

Your broom is done and ready to be used.
