For the purposes of this book I have listed the applicable definitions of the word:
hab·it
Pronunciation[hab-it]
–noun
1. an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary: the habit of looking both ways before crossing the street
2.customary practice or use: Daily bathing is an American habit
3.a particular practice, custom, or usage: the habit of shaking hands
4.a dominant or regular disposition or tendency; prevailing character or quality
Lets get to the truth about the lies about habits.
- Habits are addictive
- Habits are difficult to break
- You can't help yourself, it's a "habit"
The TRUTH is :
- NO ONE is a slave to a habit unless they CHOOSE to be.
- It is an ACQUIRED behavior, something you CHOOSE to do, and continue to do of your own free will.
- You CAN choose new habits, positive and empowering habits.
Some of that can sting. Accepting the responsibility for creating the weight problem you are suffering from is very uncomfortable, but a neccessary step. By claiming the responsibility we realize we also have the power to change. That we aren't at the mercy of some omnipotent and malevolent thing overpowering our minds and bodies, but rather that we are simply at the mercy of our own selves. We can DO that!
A big part of being a witch is determining our will and our wishes in whatever direction we want our lives to go, which Path we want to walk, that will enable us to be true to ourselves, and our Diety. Claiming that power of choice and directing it's flow is the highest responsibility. And carries with it, Self confidence and Self esteem and Cognisant Intimacy with your Spirit Self and your Divine Ones.
By Empowering yourself, you can change your habits, your choices, and your world to take the shape of your ideals in time. The power of the word "habit" crumbles like the illusion it is under the strength of the Affirmational Phrase:
"I CHOOSE
for the benefit of All,
and Harm toward None to_(fill in the blank)_"
"I see with open eyes the negativity I have before made a habit, and conciously CHOOSE to banish it from myself and create a positive habit to replace it."
