Decorating your altar with orange, black and white candles for this season is recommended.
Remember, these are NOT required as Lady Majyk Myst will be setting up the Sacred Mists Altar for ALL participants. However, if you would like to also have them present, the items are as follows:
1) 2 Black Candles - Ideally you DO have these if at all possible during ritual
2) Lighter/Matches/Etc.
3) Candle Snuffer (for the brave, moist fingertips work as well) ;-)
4) "Cakes and Ale" - some sort of carb-food and wine/apple cider/etc. for eating and drinking after the ritual. it is recommended you have something physically present for actual eating and drinking after the ritual.
5) THIS EVERYONE SHOULD BRING -
* Something you are giving away: an emotion, a negative pattern, a habit, etc. You will be given a private moment with The Crone (whom the High Priestess will be invoking into her body. Therefore, she will be extremely weakend after ritual and will need a moment once the ritual has ended to compose herself and ground significantly.)
You should have prepared something you will be giving away. (This may be likened to the mundane "New Year" resolution. However this is not saying "I'm going to exercise more", but should rather be worded as, "I am giving up my procrastination about implementing the exercise program I know I need to be doing for myself").
Once given away, you will need to replace what the Crone has taken with something.. and it is then that your "resolution" will come into play, and you will say to yourself, after ritual... whatever it is that you are filling the void left behind from that which you have given to The Crone.
During these private sessions, where the Crone will not provide "feedback" persay, but will listen and take what you have given Her back with Her, to the Underworld.
During this time, Lady Sylvar Moon will be leading open readings. Please understand that this is the most lengthy Sabbat ritual we hold within Light & Shadows. For obvious reasons, we ask that your questions be "yes or no" related, or simplistic in their answers so that we are able to provide as many a possible with this wonderful gift that LSM will be providing.
