Ok...I see you are Ready....

Don't be nervous!!...

There are a few things that you need to know before we do the first meditation...

1. Get out your Meditation Journal or a notebook to write in...You could even treat yourself and buy a new "special" pen that you use just for this.

2. Turn off any distracting things like radio, TV, phones, and if the family pet needs to go out...make sure that is done before you set down for your meditation.

3. Do you know how to breathe to relax?...

Here is a mini lesson...

Blow your nose...(hehee...I am serious, you need a clear nose for this...) it also may help to take a breath of Vicks or a caugh drop if you are "stuffy"..(don't think I am weird...that is just so that you can breathe deep)

Now, take a deeee-eeep breath through your nose and hold it to the count of four..1...2....3....4...

Now, blow out slowly through your mouth as if you are blowing on soup to cool it...


This is something you will do before each meditation... So learn to relax those muscles...

You will do some deep breathing before every meditation so this is very important and will soon become a natural signal to your body to center.

Meditation # 1

"The Autumn House"

Take a deeee-eeee--eeep Breath in....

Hold to the count of four...

Breathe out...1...2...3...4...

Repeat this four times

As you continue to breath in deep slow breaths, you feel your body relax and count to ten...

ONE...your feet relax

TWO...you feel your legs relax

THREE...your thighs are completely relaxed

FOUR... Your hips feel totally relaxed

FIVE... Your tummy is no longer knotted and relaxes

SIX...Your mind moves to your heart and it slows and calms.

SEVEN...You feel the breath in your neck and it relaxes.

EIGHT... Your jaw is no longer tight and it relaxes as you think of it.

NINE...your eyes close and totally relax.

TEN...your third EYE opens and you feel completely relaxed and no longer feel your body.

Continue to breathe ...

As you close your eyes you see the perfect Autumn House.

It is planted in a stone-edged field near the woods.

You can smell the wood smoke coming from a bonfire as you walk up the cobbled drive, your basket you carry is filled with apples from the tangled orchard across the lane.

You enter and look around.

Indoors you can still hear the insistent song of the stream, always on its way to somewhere, that murmurs nearby.

You look out through the wide windows ablaze with trees.

In the field, a flock of geese rest near a deep, still pond.

The Autumn House glows with thankfulness and a sense of deep security.

 

The harvest is in, the larder is filled to bursting with food, and the reminders of the Earth Mother's bounty are everywhere: the Autumn kitchen has bittersweet branches and swags of grapevine crowning the cabinets, earthen pitchers bursting with dried weeds in all their fragile and fascinating variety, butterscotch chrysanthemums and wild asters blooming in salt-glazed pots.

Pumpkins squat, heavy-bellied, on fans of brilliant leaves grace the side table. Great wooden bowls overflow with autumn squash, and baskets of acorns and nuts load the big wooden table; apples, grapes, and pears spill from cornucopias; native corn, in a magical bunch of three, casts its autumn blessing over the open hearth.

The hearth fire burns with a gentle golden warmth, and you sit beside it for a moment to warm your hands and to gaze into the embers. What magickal pictures wait for you there? Look deep and see...you see the message and tuck them firmly in your mind to write about . Take a moment to take in the magick and listen...

(pause....take a moment to listen)

As you take in all that you have seen you turn once again to the window... The evening sky is telling you it is eventide.

What soothing, nourishing meals will you create from the harvest that surrounds you?

 When sunset comes, its colors splendid as the leaves' bright flame, you light amber beeswax candles to invite the sacred fire inside.

Contemplate on the flame and remember these thoughts.

This is your time as you look at the flame.

Take what time you need to accomplish what is coming to you.

You feel yourself returning to the time you started ...the room is coming back and you start counting back from ten...

nine...

eight...seven...

with each number you feel more refreshed as you return from the autumn House...

Six...

five...

four...

three...your eyes begin to open...

two...

one...you are fully refreshed and ready to record your magickal experience.
