How is your Book of Shadows coming along? I hope that you have your cover done or nearly so and we can now work on the inside.
Your first page should be a Book Blessing...or something to dedicate your book as a Book of Magick and Protection. I hope you will really think about this and write something special. You can look on the BoS board also as there is a generic Book Blessings there if you want to use that, feel welcome to do so.
The Cover page could be something like the above picture...again..I do encourage you to use your imagination on this..I will always give examples, but in the end , it is totally up to you how you want your book to look. And each page may be as different of as similar as you feel you want it to be, Each page has it's own magick.
The next post will be a copy of my own Book Blessing that is in my BoS..so Have fun creating and using some of your inspiration magick that I know resides inside.
~ My Book Blessing ~
In the realm of magick this book shall reside.
On one but the chosen shall see what is inside.
If breath be to Air as passion to Fire,
Let harm none, this is my desire.
If life be to Earth as Water to emotions,
This book be filled with magickal potions.
May the Gods protect it, keep it from harm,
And upon it bestow power, magick & charm.
No one without wisdom, shall peer its pages,
Or knowlege inside handed down through the ages.
This book be it mine, it harbors no fears,
The knowlege obtained through blood, sweat & tears,
My Magick's my passion, the spirit's my guide.
The book may She bless it with spiritual light
And let only Her children read of its rite.
For those of the wicca truly can see,
That this is my will, so mote it be.
