To strengthen your poppet, you can go outside and hold it up to the moon while reciting the same thing you said while holding the doll over the incense smoke.

You can also let your doll lay in the moonlight for an hour so that it may soak up the lunar energies.  Also, you may decorate it however you see fit.

  Once you feel that the spell has been accomplished, do not dispose of it in any way before you remove the magickal connection between you and the doll.

  You can do this by re-cleansing it with salt and water while stating, "I hereby remove all magickal influences that have been placed upon this doll of fabric.  It is no longer connected to me in anyway."

  While you do this visualize the poppet becoming an ordinary mundane doll again.  If you feel that you have successfully separated yourself from the doll, then you may dispose of it however you wish.

   However, if you feel you didn't successfully detach yourself from the doll, then you need to use your athame/sword or visualize an athame/sword or scissors cutting the cord that connects you. Once the cord is severed see it pull back into the doll itself.  Then redo the above method.
