From the Desk of Lady Majyk Whispering-Owl Arch High Priestess of Light & Shadows http://groups.msn.com/LightShadowsofMajyk/_whatsnew.msnw       Greetings (Name of applicant) ,        I am so excited that you have applied to Light & Shadows  so I just wanted to write a little note to introduce us to you.        I always contact applicants before approving them to make sure the e-mail is correct and to find out a little bit about what brought you to Light & Shadows. (You must reply to this letter before you can be approved.)      This just helps protect my coveners and see if this is the kind of group you wish to come into.         We are a small but special group that live our paths daily....It is not just an online thing with us but a very important part of our lives both online and off.         I hope you will write back and tell me a bit about yourself .  Be sure to let me know where you are from.  It is always nice to get an idea of where you are on this earth... Do you plan on being active on the boards?  This is something that I do like to see.  You will find that everyone will accept you with open arms so do not be shy.  It is important to be active on the boards as inactivity will let me know that you are not coming to Light & Shadows  and if I do not see you for a month, it will automatically be a signal for dismissal from the group.    Light & Shadows policy for this is that you need to post a MINIMUM of three days a week.  This can be just a "check-in" or a well-wishing , or thank-you post.  You can also feel free to write comments or post an interesting article pertaining to our path .  If you think it is interesting, chances are that most here will enjoy it as well.    As you will see, there are so many areas to post here and you are welcome to post on any board about that subject matter...which is very open and wide-ranging.  If you have a question..the "Ask-A-Witch" board is a perfect place to search indepth answers from adept witches.  If you see a question that you can help with, please , by all means, post to that thread.  Everyone has unique input and most all views are welcomed.     Also, the program of training is one of active personal growth and you will be doing actual things at home to further your path..not online text book lessons as many places have.  I believe that you must live your life as a wiccan and not just have it be an online hobby.  So if this is not for you, then it may be that you just want to visit and check out things before dedicating into Light & Shadows training.
