Because I decided hanging out with the one person in the cosmos that I share a brain cell with is a good thing. Plus we share a common spiritual vision and are working together to make it happen with the guidance of the Lady
A little Bio of yourself
I'm a 52 (soon to be 53) year old wife and mother of 5 ranging in age from 32 to 13 All but 2 have grown and left the nest. 2 of the 5 are handicapped, one of the 5 is just a neenerhead. The remaining two are fairly normal 
My husband of 18 and a half years is a geologist and travels ALOT which gives me alot of freedom to explore and implement my own lifestyle... That of being a witch.
I have been on a quest for finding the Holy Grail of spiritual fulfillment exploring different faith practices from Southern Baptist to Hinduism since the age of 5, and became enlightened to the Goddess at the ripe old age of 41.
Since then I spent alot of time learning about Wicca at first alone with little help and books, then I found an online school where I learned a little more and met my best friend and mentor, Lady Majyk. Since then my inner world has become a binary quasar of astounding brightness and has seen me through some pretty hairy experiences with my mundane world, including more than a few life threatening health issues and psychological crisises that otherwise would have required my institutionalization in the nearest looneybin.
I knew since I was a kid that I wanted to do something with my life in the field of helping people.
I went to college majoring in religion and minoring in psychology. I took classes in early childhood development , and was a daycare provider for 11 years.
I also took classes in American Sign Language and helped the deaf community for 3 years but had to give it up because of policy and ethics conflicts with the state licensing board. They insisted that as an interpreter I was nothing more than a telephone, and under normal circumstances I had no problem with that, but when a client who was from another culture , unknowing of American hucksterism tried to take advantage of them and I let them know what was really going on and saved them from a financial disaster, the business I squealed on complained and I got reamed out. So I told them where to stick it and was denied a chance to be a professional interpreter.
After that I pretty much just concentrated on my spiritual journey and learning holistic health care techniques such as Reiki Bach Flower therapy, essential oils, and EFT.
At the moment I am working to establish a south western locale satellite covenstead of Light and Shadows with a Mind Body Spirit healing focus and working on keeping my health improving, and furthering my spiritual education by studying 3rd Degree and teaching First Degree at Light and Shadows.
