Greetings Everyone,
When I came home today and found Lady Sylvar's announcemnt that she did not want the retreat at her house, I was taken back for a moment, and went out to my sacred circle here at the covenstead and really had a deep meditation to talk to the Goddess. As I looked around at my parched grounds and the spent plantings I thought..how can I do this...and all I heard is...
"This is Sacred Ground and is the L&S Covenstead... Summer is winding down and the first harvest is at hand...none expect the look of springtime green when it is late summer on the golden prairie...do not worry...the coven is meant to be here."
IT was no good trying to argue that it is not good enough or that I cannot have as grand of affair as it could have been at my sister's wonderful garden , it is not to be as they have their own things to worry about.
SOOOOOooooo.........
It will be here at the Covenstead...The tents will be set up and we will still camp out..and we will still do most of the things planned..it will just not be on fancy tables and cement plaza and cabana with a pool. You will have to settle for a little house on the prarie and the river to swim in..we will not be having a labrynth but the night is still full of stars and the wonders of country life will still be around. You will hear the coyotes howling and the quail in the driveway..you will probably see the deer in the pasture as they come sneeking into the corrals for a drink of water and nibble on the clover and wild grass lawns of the covenstead.
You will meet my shaggy old dog, Bowe, that is so proud to be the sentry albeit is more than 70 in his dog years. You will also meet Jet and Ember..the two coven cats that love to play with toes of unsuspecting owners....you will be woke up by the roosers in compition with each other...and all in all..we will enjoy each other in fun and frolic around the belfire as we welcome Lugh and the First Harvest time.
I hope you will still plan to come and have the adventure of a special retreat of Light & Shadows as we get to know each other. It will be an awesome time for sure.
