Lesson Six-How to make an Infusion
We have already answered the question of what is an infusion and when to use them.
Infusions are strong herbal teas used to create change in body, mind and/or spirit.
To create an infusion, know your symptoms, know what change you are looking to make, and/or what herbs you can use for this function.
We are going to create an infusion for creating calmness and a release of tension in your night.
You will drink this infusion one hour before bed.
Combine the following herbs:
- Catnip (1tsp)
- Chamomile (1tsp)
- Sage (1tsp)
Your mixture should be equivalent to 2-3 teaspoons
Place the mixture in a tea ball
Heat 8 ounces of water and steep for 10 minutes. This will create a strong infusion. Once the steeping has completed warm the infusion. Add sweetner to taste. Honey is a wonderful addition to add a sweet spice?/FONT>
Drink your infusion. You will begin to relax almost immediately. The addition of the sage to this infusion will increase the likeliness of vivid dreams.
Homework:
Report the results of the infusion.
Using the basic formula create an infusion of your own one night this week and report back the infusion type created and the results of said infusion.
