Lesson 28: Testing Shielding
Whether you are a beginner or experienced in creating a shield of any type, testing your shield is necessary and needed so that you know how effective it is, what it can take, how much it can take, how much energy you will need to create and maintain the shield. It also lets you know when you need to reinforce or replace your shield.
There are two ways you will need to test your shield: Within and Without.
Within:
This is the area between you and your created shield. After you create the shield, consider: how much energy did I have to expend to create it? How much energy am I having to expend to maintain it? Consider both these factors. If you exhaust yourself on the shield, you need to use a simpler shield. If you are new, practice will build up your endurance and confidence.
Create a shield.
Now, use more energy and try to purposefully find the strong points. Now, try to find the weak points. Now, try to break through your own shield. Trying to break your own shield is a self-test for honesty and humbleness. Only if you are honest with yourself and are willing to face your weakness, only then you can make them your strengths. So, can you break your own shield!?
After you have done the above, you can simply, by use of more energy, imagine a small pillar of light going to those weak spots and reinforcing/repairing them. If you are new and/or your shield is weak, you can imagine a shower of light flowing down and coating your shield.
[Luna] (I have to admit I have to do this type of strong reinforcing. I’m not that good at strong shielding yet...but, remember! I’m still practicing too!)
Without:
Find a friend you can trust, one that is brutally honest preferably! This is most important.
Use that friend to try to break through your shield. Have that friend guide you and using pillars of light or a light shower, let that friend help you in guiding you towards those weak spots in your shield.
I do happen to have a brutally honest friend, well, a couple myself that always point out my weaknesses! Hey, they keep me humble and help me become all that much stronger. And, of course, vice versa for me to them! ;-)
Exercises:
1. Practice testing your shield Within.
2. Practice testing your shield Without.
3. Think of other ways to test the shields. Share them
4. Try the ways to test that you thought of, did they work? Why or why not?
Post your experiences.
