Lesson 26: House Shielding
In this day and age, not everyone is safe and secure. Even if the doors are locked and windows shut, burglaries, vandalism, etc. are common. Shielding your house will be able to give you a peace of mind by letting you take a proactive step in protection.
Also, do not neglect common sense in protecting your house as well. Automatic lights, keeping shrubbery to a minimum, having watchful neighbors, keeping your doors and windows locked when you are away or when you are busy in your house are just a few things that can go a long way to proactive protection.
If you do notice a strange person or strange occurrences, contact the police or someone who can help in that line. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
You will, as discussed in the Shielding by spell lesson, bring the spell at the intent as you raise the shield, and, by the spoken word, put it in place.

A house blessing or ritual can be as simple or as complex as you wish it to be.
You will want to call the four quarters and elements of North, South, East, and West. Pick the deity that most represents your feelings about the divine.
Carry the four elements around your house, imagining that all negativity is banished from each room.
When finished, Stand in the center of the room, and say:
I am the wind on the sea.
I am a wave of the ocean.
I am the roar of the sea.
I am a powerful ox.
I am a hawk on a cliff.
I am a dewdrop in sunshine.
I am the strength of art.
I am a spear with spoils that wages battle.
I have cleared the stony place upon the mountain.
From basement to attic. From sill to door.
From roof to landscaping. I fill this house with protective energy of (name of deity) and ask for blessings upon each person who resides here.
So mote it be!

To enhance this spell:
Perform on a full moon.
Perform on Monday (family matters) or Sunday (success).
Perform when the moon is in Cancer or Virgo.
Perform in the hour of the moon.
Perform yearly on February 1st.
Perform on New Year’s Day.
