Psychic Chords:
What Are They, How To Cut Them, and Other Information
What are psychic cords and tendrils?
Psychic cords, also referred in these posts to as tendrils, are threads of energy that tie you to another person. Cords can be used for good and bad purposes.
Good purposes of cords are healings, love to family and friends, exchanging ideas, ect.
Bad purposes of cords are used to read people when they do not want to be read and taking energy or implanting bad energy or illness.
Cords are naturally attached whenever we have any kind of contact with people or beings...including spirits. They are attached when in their physical presence and we are talking to them, in letters/posts/emails, and in mental thoughts.
Most of the time cords are removed immediately after we are through talking with the person or thinking of them. But they are not always detached. The more sensitive of a person you are, the more likely you have cords flapping around in the breeze that will attach to anything it comes into contact with. This is where shielding helps with that.
Others attach cords in the same way. Most of the time, the cords are unconscious and harmless, but then you have those few times when they harm you (or the other person).
This is one reason why you want to cut the cords.
Another reason you want to cut the cords is because when you are building your shields and the cords are there, the shield is built around the cords, fusing the cords to your energy/body even more.
A third reason to cut the cords is because when you are building your shields, you want to keep your energy as pure as possible, as well as making sure your energy has no holes in it at all. This will keep your shields even stronger.
How do you know they are there?
There are several ways that you can see and/or feel cords. Every person may have a different way as well…but some of the more common ways to feel cords are: hot or cold spots when you hold your hands above different areas of the body, unexplained tingling, prickling, numbness, or pain. Some of the ways that you can see the cords are: closing your eyes and picturing your body as it is in the physical world…without trying to force where you see the cords, picture them appearing around your body. If you can see the colors, then see what colors they may be. Your intuition will show you where the cords are. Some can also see the cords with their eyes open this way. If you cannot see them with your eyes open or closed, then grab a piece of paper…a pen, pencil, colored pencils or crayons and draw your body. It can be as detailed as you want, or it can be a stick figure. Whatever works. Draw a representation of the front of your body and the back of your body. Then taking the pen, pencil, crayons or colored pencils…begin drawing squiggly lines where your intuition tells you to draw them. Do not try to force it. If you are using the crayons or colored pencils, then you can use your intuition to draw the colors…if you are using a pen or pencil, if your intuition tells you the colors, you can write them in.
Is it important to know who the cords are to (or from) and how do we tell?
While it is helpful to know who the cords are from (or to) it is not important. It can help you to know who it is so you can make a decision on which cords to cut, and to better protect from that person (if it is someone causing harm), but if you plan to remove all of the cords, you don’t have to worry about it.
It is perfectly safe to remove all cords…it is not permanent unless you will it to be so. So if you decide to cut all of the cords, the ones that you want to be reattached will do so. The ones that you may wish to leave alone, or reattach, are those that belong to family...especially a spouse and children, and the ones you want to remove are those that belong to people you only talk to occasionally, or those that are causing you harm.
You can tell which cords are causing harm and which ones are by the colors (if you can see the colors). You can tell the purpose of those threads as well…I will give an example of colors that I associate with the cords. You may have your own associations for the colors. You can also tell if the cord is active or not by watching to see if it pulses with the light/color or vibrates. You can also tell who it is to.
Cord Color meanings:
As I mentioned, the colors may be different for each person, it is what you feel to be right that is important. My list here is my own observations and may or may not differ from your own. I am also not going to list all of the colors, because…quite frankly, I know I would forget some anyway LOL. I will put where they usually appear, though it is not always the case. They can also appear anywhere on your body...and if they are harmful ones, they are generally in the weakest or less protected areas of the body such as the charkas, top of the head and bottom of the feet…though they can be wherever the energy is the thinnest or weakest.
Red: Red cords are those generally that we feel passion for. Perhaps a physical passion, perhaps a shared passion of some sort of cause. These cords are vibrant in color and often have an intense energy about them. These cords are generally attached in the vicinity of the root chakra, though not always.
Pink: Pink cords are generally those that we love. Family, friends, children, ect. These are those that we hold close and dear to our hearts. These cords are generally attached in the vicinity of the heart, though not always.
Yellow: Yellow cords are generally connected to those that we have a mental intellectual connection to. These cords are generally placed for business or creative purposes where working in teams to bring about a goal so that ideas can be exchanged with less of a chance of miscommunication. These cords are also present for debaters and public speakers?generally for communication purposes. They are generally attached to the throat or head area.
Green: Green cords generally appear between those that are giving healings or helping someone stay grounded and centered. You see these cords a lot for psychologist, councilors, healers, and caseworkers…though it is not limited to them.
Purple/white/silver cords: Purple and white cords are generally cords attached to the higher sources…such as the Deities and guides…but they are also used for those that share spiritual links and purposes. Just because they are silver, white or purple does not necessarily mean they are for the Deities and guides.
Blue: Blue cords are often attached to those that we are trying to calm and relax. These color cords often appear at the same time and on the same person as those that the green cords appear on.
Black, brown, gray…the muddy looking colors are often the ones that are there for no good, or are being harmful. These cords are either drawing your energy away or are tainting your energy with someone else’s…which is why these colors are typically dark and murky looking.
A word of caution…there are those that can disguise the cord colors to appear something else. Pay attention to your intuition and the feelings the cords give you to see if they are what they seem.
How to follow the cords to see who is on the other end by visualization:
You can follow the cords to tell you who is on the other end. There are two ways to do it…visualization and “knowing.?/FONT>
With the visualization method, close your eyes and picture the cords on your body. Take one of the cords in your “hands.?Begin following the cord, using your mind, to the other end. You may actually see the person, you may see where they are, or you may get a feeling as to who it is.
This is a form of remote viewing.
Time and space mean nothing when you follow the cords like this. It may take several minutes or it may be instantaneous.
The trick is to trust yourself and to let go of your feeling of yourself. Let that cord become your reality and follow it like you would a rope leading you somewhere in the physical world.
It may take practice to do this, but again, you have to trust yourself to know that what you see or feel is right.
Another way to do it is instead of following the cord, you can reel the person in to you like a fishing pole line…though I do not recommend this way as it can affect the person on the other end…sometimes even physically…and it also can put even more damage on your energy if you pull them in too close.
How to follow the cords to see who is on the other end by other means:
Similar to the method of visualizing the person, you can “know?the person. Blank out your mind and with the paper that you used to draw where the cords are, focus on one of the cords (or focus on a cord using your mind). Keep my mind clear while focusing on the cord and tell yourself to show you who is on the other end. You may get a flash of a face, or an impression of a name. Using the paper method usually invokes a impression of a name more than any flashes. But it is an individual thing…each person will receive the information differently. Trust that your intuition is telling you the correct name.
If it is a person you know, it is easier?but if it is a name you don’t know, or no name comes to mind…odds are it is a stranger that somehow connected with you.
Responsibility and warning of following cords:
The most important thing to remember about following cords, is it can be invasive and a form of spying. There have been a few times that I have followed cords and accidentally seen something I had no business seeing?highly personal things. **insert blushing face** It can also be addictive to follow cords to see what another person is doing, and so I urge caution when following cords for these matters.
Cord cutting by visualization:
Follow the same steps that were outlined in seeing the cords…close your eyes and visualize your body and let the cords appear to you.
Now you need to make a choice…do you want to severe all cords and let the ones that you want to remain automatically reattach, or pick and chose which cords to sever via the means of discovering who is on the other end.
When you have this decision made, take one of the cords in your “hands?and begin to gently pry it away from your body/energy…like you would a sticker.
Keep in mind the entire time that you are removing the cord these things:
- Do not allow sadness or anger along the chord.
- Show love going down the chord in front of the disintegration process.
- Say in your mind that this is done with love and no pain shall be inflicted on either partner.
When you have the cord removed, keep it in your hands and see it slowly disintegrate away into dust and then a gust of wind blows the dust away.
Do this for each cord that you want to remove.
Cord cutting by other means:
To cut the cords by other means…there are actually many techniques. One is cutting them by a cutting motion of your fingers. But the way I am going to teach it is this.
Since this is the way that is alternative to the visualization…take the piece of paper that you drew your body and the cords on. If the cords were written with pencil, then you can do this by erasing the pencil marks…but if not, you can scribble out the cords and it will have the same effect.
Keeping in mind the whole time that you are cutting the cords:
- Do not allow sadness or anger along the chord.
- Show love going down the chord in front of the disintegration process.
- Say in your mind that this is done with love and no pain shall be inflicted on either partner.
Decide if you want to cut them all or select ones, and then focus on one of the cords that you want to remove.
When you have that cord focused on, begin to erase or scribble them out, as you do so, tell yourself that this cord is being removed from your body and that it turned to dust and blew away. You can be as formal or as casual in how you say this…the trick is to know and believe that it happened.
Do this for each cord that you want to remove.
What to do after the cords are removed
When you have all of the cords removed, you need to affirm this (or something similar)
“All of the cords I have removed I have done so with love and forgiveness. No cords shall be reattached without my express conscious approval. Any that attempt to attach shall be bounced away and shall not attach to any passersby.?/FONT>
The express conscious approval is a necessary component so that you are not taken unawares again. It is not a guarantee, but it helps tremendously. The more conviction you can say this with (either out loud or in your mind) the more it will work.
Then, regardless if you can see it or feel it…imagine a beam of pure white light coming from the universe into the top of your head. Allow it to fill up every portion of your body.
When it has filled your entire body, it will start going out into your energy field.
When your energy field has been filled, it will spill out of any holes, rips or tears on your energy field. As it spills out, it heals the holes until they are sealed tight.
This part is not necessary, but helpful…feel a single strong pulse of light go out away from you, as it does so, it removes any contaminants that may still be on your energy field.
When you are finished, slowly withdraw the light form you.
It is not uncommon to feel physical sensations such as tingling, bursts of energy, pounding heart, lightheadedness or headaches with this. It is also not uncommon to feel a sense of disconnection or sadness when the cords are removed as these cords had probably been on you for a while. The newer the cord, the less the sensation of disconnection or sadness is.
I hope this information has been helpful to you
Brightest Blessings
