It is in Ashby-De-La-Zouch which is Leicester way I believe.  It is a great zoo. My mom and dad took me when I was little and I took my daughter and she has also been there on a school trip. It has lots of animal enclosures, inside and outside. So you can the animals outside but also watch them inside- including the gorilla's who have ropes to swing on and tyres and are quite funny when they have an audience. The have elephants, giraffes,monkey,lions,tigers, camels. They also have a reptile centre. On the site there is also a restaurant/cafe, gift shop and several ice cream and refreshment kiosks.

 

It used to be home to the PG Tips monkeys but I believe they are not there any longer.

It is a good day out and fun for everyone!!!
