Whew, back early from our holiday to Ballina, touring the sites of our Natural Disaster Zone. The beaches were all closed due to rough seas but the Serpentine, on the creek, was fine for Paul and Ian to learn snorkelling and for Simon to become "an expert" on his new boogie board on days when it stopped raining for a while. Stan was looking good and enjoying cricket on his wide screen TV, and on our last night there we all ate the steak he'd won at the meat raffle on friday. Today's morning at Port Macquarie on our way home was the nicest weather we'd had, and the first time we'd been able to walk along the edge of surf waves. It was good to get home and see Blackie, who was looking very relaxed thanks to Jim's care. Love Jo, bruce, Paul and Simon |

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all recovered nicely from Christmas and seeing the New Year in --- it is hard to believe that it is already 2 weeks into the New Year --- Silk, I know that you haven't been well I do hope that you are feeling much better by now. Jo, You did pick a terrible time to go holidaying with all that awful rain - good to hear that Stan was coming on well - he is an absolute marvel, glad he is home enjoying his cricket --- the weather didn't phase him too much.LOL. Glad Blackie fared well under Jim's care- he said he was often waiting for him - must be getting used to him. Well we are slowly getting things back to normal -- put the photos, ornaments etc back today and if you check out my teapots you will see that a few new ones have been added. We had a lovely bbq tea at Brad & Wendy's last night and Wendy is getting very keen on "PingPong" as she calls it - Jim was the only contender last night for her to play and they played a few games... they both looked rather exhausted. I have it on good authority that Bruce is a bit of a whiz at the game & shows no mercy. I am pleased to report that my blood pressure was the lowest it has been in years so something must be working --- I have my full echo test on 21st, so should know more then. All Jim's reports are excellent --- he does all the wrong things and eats all the wrong foods and gets these marvellous reports --- makes me feel like screaming. Well, that's about it for now. Hope you are all well and enjoying the hols. Hope to hear from you soon. Love,Lesley. |

Hi! Everyone, Tamsyn's 1st birthday party was last Saturday and it rained most of the day , luckily they had outside shelter - It was a nice day despite the weather & we got some nice snaps... I have been getting lots of practise at taking snaps. Jim has put up the digital photo album and we have got them on show -- I also successfully put them on a disc - so getting there slowly but surely. Had my Echo test today and the results were better than Dr. expected - so something is working. I have a visit to the cardioligist tomorrow. Hope you all had a lovely day. Hugs,Lesley. |

Hi Guys, Holidays nearly over - I can hear the teachers moaning and the rest of the mums & dads giving 3 cheers. Hope you have noticed that Neecey has started a new thread entitled "Goal to Cruise" - it is a thread where we watch our weight and support each other, give tips, recipes etc. Pop over and take a look. Take care everyone. Happy Australia Day tomorrow. Hugs,Lesley. |

Hi Everyone, Over the past few weeks I have been poked and prodded and had this test and that test --- results are in --- the lungs are clear, it is a blockage in the heart but can't tell where --- so having a Nuclear Test next Wednesday (Jim's birthday) -- this should show where it is. Then see cardiologist the next week and then we should know a bit more. Hugs,Greatnan. |

Hi Guys, Sorry I am rather late giving you all an update. Thanks Silk, yes I do know how it is - not enough hours in the day to do what has to be done & it also seems to take longer to do. Most of you will have heard by now that there is no heart blockages - hooray!!! The heart specialist wants me to see a Lung Specialist - I am not sure how long it will take to get an apointment - will let you know. We never managed to get out for Jim's birthday till the Friday - because of my reaction to the tests. We had the usual bbq at the weekend. Then last weekend on the Saturday was Mandy and Paris's birthday party and on the Sunday Mahommad & co put up the frame to the pagola. This Sunday is Ian's 13th birthday celebrations and the following Sunday they will be putting the roof on the pegola. I hope Bruce had a lovely birthday last Sunday- I am so sorry that I forgot to post a message but will probably see you at Ian's do. As you can see we have been somewhat busy. Wishing you all a lovely weekend. Love Lesley |

Hi! Sorry it's been a while since I have been on --- most of you know that my computer crashed -- I am finally back on line but with a very restricting Firefox and I haven't got Messenger either.
Auntie June's funeral was yesterday - the church service was very comforting and I managed to give the eulogy without breaking down - I think I gave them comfort - as almost everyone came up and commented on it to me. At the cemetery we released balloons at the closure and it was absolutely beautiful.
Silk,I don't expect to get an apointment with the lung specialist for some time. I do hope you are feeling much better by this Silk as I know you haven't been feeling the best.
What with one thing and another we haven't got the roof on the pagola yet -- Jim said Kylie thought maybe this weekend. That's about it for now. Take care everyone. Lesley. |

Hi everyone...I'm getting older and slower...can't seem to get to all my groups as often as I'd like. We had a huge setback a few days ago when two of the groups were shuttered by MSN. A nasty 'troll' at work posting filth in our albums and then they reported it.. ...be carefeul everyone if you have a group. Thankfully after it was deleted we got the groups back but it made a lot of work for managers. I hope you all enjoyed a very pleasant Easter. Whew, it's hot here today. hugs, Silk |

I cannot believe how long it is since I last posted here. I am completely recovered from those rotten infections which lasted for so long. Jim did his side in last week & I thought he may need another visit to the doc but is now on the mend & should be ok in a day or so. Brad's surgery went well and he is getting around more now. It was Alyssa's 16th and Brook's 13th combined birthday party last weekend & a fun time was had by all. Scott's eyes are not good at all as most of you know, he is badly in need of our prayers. Have a nice week. Love,Lesley. |

Hi Everyone. Thought it was about time I gave an update here.
Jim's arm is coming along nicely -- we were so relieved when he didn't have to have the radio therapy treatments. He is doing more with it now & has even washed up the last couple of nights.
I am going okay & have lost 9 kilos all up -- but now seem to be staying the same weight, which is better than putting it back on I guess.
For those of you who don't already know - Jim is now going on the cruise with us in January --he is taking Kerrie's place who is unable to go. Even though he would deny it,I think secretly he is looking forward to it & has checked out the ship & the cabins on the net.
Brad's knee surgery went well & he is back at work now.
I have been glued to the TV watching the Olympics & have been urging our team on.
That's about it for now. Take care,Hugs,Lesley. |

Hope you are all well. MSN has been driving me crazy the last few days & not letting me into any groups.
Tamara came home from hospital today & I don't envy Mandy keeping her still for another 3 weeks -- she is such a livewire.
We all had a lovely time on the shopping trip -- the weather stayed nice, we had a lovely meal & most of us arrived home completely broke. Jim had the urn boiling for our cuppas & the snags cooked & waiting for our sausage sandwich -- a lovely way to finish off the day.
That's about it for now. Take care all. Hugs,Lesley. |
