Whew, back early from our holiday to Ballina, touring the sites of our Natural Disaster Zone.
The beaches were all closed due to rough seas but the Serpentine, on the creek, was fine for Paul and Ian to learn snorkelling and for Simon to become "an expert" on his new boogie board on days when it stopped raining for a while.
Stan was looking good and enjoying cricket on his wide screen TV, and on our last night there we all ate the steak he'd won at the meat raffle on friday.
Today's morning at Port Macquarie on our way home was the nicest weather we'd had, and the first time we'd been able to walk along the edge of surf waves.
It was good to get home and see Blackie, who was looking very relaxed thanks to Jim's care.
Love Jo, bruce, Paul and Simon
