Saute the onion , garlic and basil in the oil until soft ( not brown )...in the meantime cook broccoli florets in boiling water for no more than 5 minutes so it's nice and green and just tender. You can also cook the pinenuts in the microwave...I usually give them 2 minutes and then another 1 .
When the onion mix is ready add broccoli, tomatoes and pinenuts.
Place on top of cooked rigatoni pasta.
