Mix dry ingredients together, then add shortening and blend with a pastry blender. Mixture will be crumbly. Store in glass canisterswith tight fitting lids for up to 3 months in a cool, dry place.
To make biscuits, use 1 cup mix to 1/4 cup water. Kneed ten times on floured board, then either cut out or drop on to ungreased baking sheet. Bake about 10 minutes at 450*. Makes four biscuits.
This can be used in any recipe using Bisquick.
