1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 425 |
2. Combine eggs, milk, 2T powdered sugar, the cinnamon and the vanilla and beat with a wire whisk until an even yellow color and slightly frothy. |
3. Dip both sides of the bread into the egg mixture, and place flat on a nonstick baking sheet. |
4. Take the little pieces of butter and spread or sprinkle them over the surface of the bread. |
5. Bake in the center of the oven approximately 12 minutes or until golden brown. |
Cinnamon French Toast Baked in the Oven
1/4 c. unsalted butter, cut into little pieces
5 large eggs
1-1/4 c. milk
2 T. powdered sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. vanilla
20 slices bread
Confectioners’ sugar (powdered)
