Cut candy slices into small pieces. Coat dates, candy , and nuts in 1/2 cup flour andset aside.
Cream margarine or butter withsugar, add eggs, one at a time, blending well.
Add buttermilk. Sift remaining flour with soda, add to buttermilk mixture. Fold in candy mixture, stirring well. Add coconut.
Place in greased and floured 9 inch tube pan. Bake fo 3 hours at 250*. Leave cake in pan. Use icing if desired.
For glaze, mix sugar and juice wll. Pour on hot cake. Leave cake in tube pan till well cooled.
