They took me to the city but I still longed for the serenity of country life on the farm.  So now I am finally home again on the family farm of flowing wheat, soybeans, tobacco, forest of trees with birds and butterflies that greet me each morning.

Born in the middle of 6 siblings God gave me a strong voice so I would be heard over the others. My life for the past 18 years has been filled with chronic illness's of many kinds.  Because of my love of people I have a website whose goal is to help others who are chronically ill.  "Knowledge is power and laughter and a positive attitude is healing".  My garden is my paradise although my hubby thinks it is Wal-Mart. I love crafts and like you MaJeans I love making flower arrangements.  My trademark is my smile and possitive attitude.

My second husband and I have between us have 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  We wish they all lived closer as they bring such joy into our life.

Oh my this is much more than you wanted I'm sure.  Thanks for accepting me here.

Shirley (patchesangel)

Another farm girl indeed!  Yes, farm life is the life for me, too.  We have a small amount of acreage, about 7 1/2 acres, and don't really do anything with it but if I was in better shape I would have a huge garden, a cow, chickens, guineas, goats, you name it.  As it is, we have dogs.  That's all.  Well, let me not forget the squirrels and birds, panthers, bears, deer, armadillos, raccoons, possums, etc.  Way too many bugs and snakes are here too.  But I do love farms.  We just visited the family farm that I grew up on last week.  I enjoyed the cows for sure.  I do love Holsteins, but love them all.
I am not in good shape, but if I could I would go for a walk in the woods behind our house.  It's great back there.  My dad had a golf cart that we kids went together to get him and he rode that around the farm.  I would like one too.  Then I could go back there and relax, reading a book, or watching wildlife when things get to hairy here at the house.
Aren't grandkids wonderful?  Love em, spoil em, and give em back!  They are such fun.  Eight is our limit, but how many great grandkids that will give us is beyond great.
Nope, that letter wasn't more than I wanted.  I love long letters.  Write any time.  OK?  MaJeans

This too, shall pass...If it's good, enjoy it while you can!  If it's bad, it won't last forever.  So remember, THIS TOO, SHALL PASS!   MaJeans
