For those of you who have read what appears to be Don's suicide note post on XNC2, I have contacted the Police and one of my colleagues is trying to track him down. I'm on night shift and will post once I know more.
 
I have posted this just in case any of you have read his post and become concerned.

Hi All - update from me. I'm on night shift so will be heading off to bed straight after posting this.
 
I discussed this latest concern with the Shift Inspector last night and as a result of our discussion I have formally put in an information job for Police Intell so that in the event anything happens, there is background information available. I'm unsure what Intell might do, but have provided my name, address, contact phone numbers and email address for them to contact me should they wish. I have also given them Nitz's contact details as well as she has also been in contact with Police too as you are all aware.
 
Having read DonQ's posts from 2005 where he was articulate and solidly grounded with his well thought out postings, followed by his latest posts which are almost scrambled by comparison, I believe that he could well carry out his threats to 'do something big.' I personally don't believe he is suicidal (by his own hands anyway) but may have intentions of going out with a bang with a situation that he has orchestrated.
 
I plan on making contact with Age Concern when I surface later today or tomorrow. In any case, I will endeavour to try and get on to them before I head up to Hastings this Thursday morning.

Gosh I feel so sorry for him. Looks like something finally snapped... I have a friend who was on ACC for years after nearly dying in a work accident and the level of frustration he went through nearly broke him.
Isn't Donq  on a mobility scooter thingee? I have this pic in my head of him charging into ACC on it ,  guns blazing.

Ive been asking questions elsewhere .. a suggestion has been made that his case worker should be advised of his allusion to an attack on her personally.  Maybe so .. maybe NOT!!!

Just an update from me re DonQ ... having read his posts in XNC2 today, I have made further contact with the Police.
 
It feels a little like a betrayal to him, however I am convinced that he will do something major.
 
I will not be contacting Age Concern as I think things have gone a little too far for them to be able to help now.

You know men .. darlings that they are .. many just cant ask for help .. my dad was like that .. it took me 3 years to get him to ask winz for $$ assistance to mow his lawns.
 
Don needs assistance to exist .. he has children .. somewhere I saw that ..
 
But somewhere along the line there must be someone who can organise his life better for him .. dammit .. I hope so
