This thread is dedicated to management of XNC2, to discuss new applicants, and general management of XNC2.

Provided this person is using an active email address as a Passport, one of the managers of XNC2 could send an invitation email to that address with a link that would permit them to join without having to be approved in the usual manner.  Do you know the address they use to log-in with?  If you do or if you could find out, post it in this thread and I'll send them an invitation with a join link.

It was I who deleted rteh 'Marc and Matthew' thread. I over-reacted, and deleted it. I should have discussed it first. Sorry guys.

I had a feeling it was someone who hadn't read the Management group Guidelines first, which is why I posted them on XNC2 so that everyone knows what the score is in relation to deleting stuff from threads.  I would suggest that any Assistant Manager who is contemplating deleting something posted by any member, or terminating the membership of any member, please go to the Management group first and read the Guidelines.  Those guidelines are dynamic....ie - minor changes are made from time to time to cover new situations that crop up.  Nitz and I get on MSN Messenger and discuss issues and make changes to the guidelines accordingly.

It is also important that prior to deleting anything, that it first be copied into the Management group so that we have a record of what was deleted.  It is mainly to cover our arse if the shit later hits the fan over anything that is deleted, or if there are legal implications over something that was posted, then later removed from the group.

Can I make a suggestion that ALL managers and assistant managers of XNC2 visit the Management group on a regular basis, because we do discuss issues in there.  Perhaps make a post on the general gossip thread in that group when you visit (just post nonsense if yoy like) so that we know that XNC2 management are visiting and reading what is being posted in that management group.

Sorry KTJ. I was worried about the potential libel of that thread. There was a very gray area between speculation and insinuation.

Don't sweat over it.  Nitz and I were on the verge of taking action, although we would probably have asked members to delete certain messages rather than pulling the entire thread.  We know you did it with the best of intentions.  I dragged the matter up on XNC2 so as to get the attention of assistant managers (because I know some of them have never read those guidelines), but also to demonstrate to the members that the way we run the group is above board and that we value freedom of speech above all else, but with the proviso that the safety of the group always comes first.

However, in future, it is really important that anything deleted from XNC2 by management (apart from their own messages when they make an error) must be reposted into the Management group first so we have a record.

Both Nitz and I are of the opinion that all future management discussions regarding XNC2 should be moved to the Management group instead of discussing them in here.  However, perhaps this message board could be left open so that other members of The Bar who aren't AMs at XNC2 can raise issues from time to time.

Hmmm, could you post a link to that managers group, KTJ?

There is a picture on XNC2,  on the 'Name Suppression' thread, that could be in breach. Should it get deleted? (Me is nervous about deleting now, in case I get bollocked! )

I see what the problem is.  There are two different Passports involved....one has the nickname Çaprox and that one is a member of the Management group for XNC2....the other Passport has the name Caprox (not the difference between Ç and C) and that second one isn't a member of the Management group.  I would suggest you log-in as Çaprox and go to My Groups to get the URL for the Management group and bookmark it, then log-in as Caprox (what you posted above with) and apply to join, or else email me from the email address you log-in as Caprox with and I'll send you an invite with a link that will allow you to join directly without further approval.
