Do you watch the Thanksgiving Day parades on tv?
I used to watch the parades by surfing the channels, so i'd catch all of them
Now I have a tv in my room that has to be switched manually, and I just watch one for a while tthen move to another. I only get 2 channels, so I only get to watch two parades. I forget which ones they are.

I baked some pumpkin pies yesterday, and Annette baked some cookies. Today is going to be a very long day. Today we bake Apple and Cherry crisp, and Blueberry and Blackberry pies.

Roni should be up shortly to put the home grown turkey in the oven. We weighed it and it is 33 pounds.  It outgrew all the pans we have, so it will have to have it's wings cut off and maybe more. I tried to get her to split it lengthwise, and roast it in two pans but I don't think she will. To me it would be the perfect solution. I've been teasing her about it for two days.
We took pictures of it while she was finishing the last of the cleaning, so when she gets those to me, i'll post them for you. We set a soda can on top and also showed her hand next to it. I know if you got a bad back you don't want to heft him.
Maybe I'll stand at the ready with the camera, when she tries to get him in the pan and snap a few of that too. That should be really interesting
Turkey isn't my favorite food so I'll be eating ham. But with all the people coming for dinner, there won't be much left.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving all.

Twas the night after Thanksgiving I just couldn't sleep,
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.
Counting Sheep
The leftovers beckoned - the dark meat and white,
but I fought the temptations with all of my might.
Stationary Bike
Tossing and turning with anticipation,
the thought of a snack was infatuation.
Pilgrim Turkey
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door,
and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
 Pilgrim
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
'til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.
Sleepy
I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky,
with a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.
Pilgrim Girl
But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees ...
Happy eating to all - pass the cranberries, please.
Cranberry Sauce
May your stuffing be tasty, may your turkey be plump,
may your 'taters 'n gravy have narry a lump.
Carving Turkey
May your yams be delicious, may your pies take the prize,
may your holiday dinner stay off of your thighs.
