I hope everyone had a happy and safe Easter.
Mine was a little hectic
After the dinner yesterday, i was driving my mother home, and we heard a clatter in the engine section.
I looked and didn't see anything leaking so we continued on to her house. A couple of hours later I started out for home and got a few miles from her place and the check engine light came on, so I got out to check. I didn't see anything again, so i got in to start the van and go again, but it wouldn't start. Well I got out and looked closer, and saw the broken belt, way down toward the lower part of the engine. I pulled it out, and it was one that goes over and under and around all the main pulleys that run the engine. So I called one of my other brothers that was close and he pulled me into town, then took me to my mothers. I had to wait until this morning to call the repair man, to look at it. He got it fixed and it cost me 90 dollars and some odd cents. But I got home. Now it don't want to idle though when I stop at a stop sign. I dont know what made it start to do that all of a sudden. It's wierd, but it will have to do until I get more money to have someone else look at that.
I just knew it was too good to be true that things should be going so good. I almost had enough to pay the taxes at the end of the month, but now I'll have to be delinquent, I guess. Oh well....... such is life.
