Today was a wild and crazy day

�?/FONT>First it started with a phone call from the county commissioner

My appeal of the property assessment, and the recommendation

by the city, that it be lowered from $12 thousand this year to

$3500, passed muster at the county too. So barring any unforseen

events, my taxes next year should be considerably lower.

�?/FONT>Then I had to run to the county seat and pick up some copies from the

assessors office, or at least try to.......... well I couldn't get them, because

she said they are not for public viewing..... This is not right and her head

may be on the block for that one too, along with the overassessment of

property. Anyway we'll see how that one goes......

�?/FONT>Then I had to go to the auditors office and make an appointment for my

appeal of the taxes that are payable this year. (almost $800 dollars)

�?/FONT>I get to go in to meet with the county commissioners next Tuesday.

With the assessment being lowered for the taxes at the city, from the 12

thousand, I feel pretty confident the assessment for last year of 32

thousand isn't going to stand. So hopefully I won't be paying as much this

year as I would have to.

�?/FONT>I got my fingers crossed for that one.

�?/FONT>Then I came home and made sure I had all the copies I needed, and did the

ones that I wanted to be sure were right, and stapeled those all together.

Those are ready for the meeting Tuesday.........

�?/FONT>After that boat load of stuff, I called the fella from town here that works

his day job out of town, to come and fix the dripping pipe in the basement.

He showed up after work and took care of that for me, now I won't be

throwing 10 gallons of water down the drain every day, in drips.

Now I'm really tired, and I think if Radar can see his way clear to making it

an early night, and coming in before it gets to be too late, I'm going to go

to bed early myself.

That was my day, how was yours?

It's been almost two weeks since I reported on my day.....

Today I did dishes....... what a job, no it hasn't been two weeks since the last time I did dishes, but I hate doing dishes.

I resorted the laundry room to make room to get into the dryer

I had stuff stacked in front of there from when I put in the dog/cat door.

I still need to finish that job too,......... dang what did you remind me of that for?

I swept up the laundry room and loaded the washer, and swept the bathroom, shook the rug, ......... Hmmmmmm no wonder i'm tired......

I made a few business calls.......

did paper work for my energy assistance....... (it's ready to mail)

cancelled an appointment for the attorney..... (concerning the taxes) at least for now, until I hear more.

Oh yeah and my teeth are taking a bath.......

Ok what did I do yesterday?

Do you remember? I don't.......

I think dishes was about all....... Hmmmmm.......

So anyway as I was saying......... Oh yeah, I mailed the energy assistance forms, and paid the dr bill, that's what else I did yesterday, and I took a nap, I think ........

I don't know.........

So today what did I do........ I did dishes, vacuumed the rug, swept up the kitchen, did a couple of loads of laundry, went outside and trimmed some of the sprigs off the trees between the house and the garage, about two hours of that, and am I ever tired..... My hands are killing me, I took a pill for my muscle spasms, which is making me tired, and I think it's about time to make myself something to eat.

I guess I'll finish up the chow mein

Right now I'm going to go to MSN games and play keno maybe. I haven't done that for ages......

I'll see you all later, I sure wish some of you would come on the site, and talk to me.

Nobody ever wants to talk to me

I know some of you come in to look, but maybe once in a while, you could post that you've been here anyway.......

Do you realize that it's already April 27th?

Where has the year gone? It's close to half over already

Today I told myself "I'm not going to prune any more trees today, my hands hurt too bad"

so what do I do? Yup, went at it again.......... Now they really hurt. I mean realllllllllly hurt

There aren't many left, but now at least when Greg gets here with his chain saw, maybe he won't balk if I ask him to take out those few trees along with the apple trees......... Ya think?

At least he won't have to fight with the sprigs slapping him in the face.

I have some to get around the base of the great big tree.

That tree should come down because it's getting pretty rotted towards the top and at the long branches. they are dead and breaking off, but I need to have them cut before they fall and take out the fence or hurt someone.

I don't know who I'll get to do that. I doubt if the city will handle that for me too LOLOL

So anyway that's about all I did today , besides take a nap

and play on the computer.

Today, I mowed the fenced in yard........ then I called for someone to come and mow the rest of the yard(s) for me......

It cost $30 but it saved me three days of mowing. That would be hard work for me, and my hips, especially since I had already been working them pretty hard, by getting up and down trimming sucker branches.

I'm sure glad I got that job done

I think I'm going to bed early tonight. I'm really tired. No nap while i waited for the mowing to get done, so I could pay the boy.

Radar is outside more and more all the time, since putting in the door for them. He loves being able to come and go as he pleases...... I know cause he told me....... LOLOL

He lets me sleep in the mornings now. That's so great. No more puncture wounds. No more scabs.

Even Connor lets me sleep. He sleeps in the basket next to the bed now. He used to sleep by the back door for the longest time. During the day when he's sleeping it's by thier own door, on the rug in front of the dryer.

I think he's trying to keep out intruders lolol

Well that was my day, how was yours?

Here it is after 10:30 at night, and I'm wide awake.......

I took a long nap today. I know better, but with the animals having thier own door, they pretty much ignore me when i'm sleeping.

This morning I went to fill my cup, and saw the few dishes in the sink so I decided i'd do them up, and get it over with. I did that, and while I still had the water, I decided to clean off the pirimid on the table and give that a good washing too. So I put things away, and put all the tools away from the new counter top, I had installed, and stacked the paint cans on the floor under neath it, then I was about to drain the water, and decided to just clean up the floor around the stove.

Next thing you know I had mopped the whole floor, and worked my butt off, and here it was going to be a fun day, with no work........

I learned something today........

Don't plan a fun day,

It's too much work......
