I got my weather report in my email this morning,
from our local weather station......

An interesting day is setting up across KELOLAND.  It is looking like a wet forecast but today is actually setting up to be the dryer day of the weekend with just scattered chances of rain for central and eastern South Dakota; tonight and tomorrow will bring a better chance of rain and even some heavy rain.  Western South Dakota is a different story as they will have a threat of snow all weekend long.  The greatest chance of heavy, accumulating snow will come tonight, with a better chance of rain mixing in today and tomorrow.  For snow totals the higher elevations could easily see a foot or more of snow by the time things are said and done late Sunday.  Winter Storm Warnings have been posted for most of The Hills because of this potential.  Rapid City itself may see a little snow on the ground by tomorrow morning but warmer surface temperatures should melt a lot of the snow as it hits the ground.  Back to the east, after a wet Sunday with widespread rain that could total 2 or more inches in some spots, the rain will start to move out on Monday.  There will be lingering showers in southeastern parts of the area on Monday.  Then we will start the drying out process with some dryer conditions for next week.

Watch the weather this weekend and pack along that umbrella, or the rain gear if you are going out pheasant hunting!
