I see not too many of you ever come in here, but here's a little news anyway. (Just General stuff........

We had a blizzard the 24th and 25th of April, wound up with about 15 inches of snow. (give or take an inch or two

The drifts were higher than any we had all winter. But the temperature was so warm today, it's reduced to almost nothing. I think tomorrows temps should take care of all the rest.

The animals are all doing good, Radar has been going out, so the litter box stays pretty fresh LOLOL
He wanted to go out the last three days but he isn't into snow. he took one step out this morning when the snow was still pretty deep on the steps, and backed his way back in the door. Tomorrow he'll go though, cause the snow is almost gone. He loves being outside.

Connor went out this morning, and had to leap his way past a big drift to find a semi clear spot to raise his leg. When he came back he had to swim through his tracks to get to the step. As it melted during the day, and the temperature got better, he spent a long time out side.

Prissy found the open doggie door a week ago, but she hasn't been going out a lot. She likes to be out at night, and bring annette 'presents' that wiggle and breathe, so we shut the door to the laundry room, where the doggie door is. She don't need to have live 'toys' to play with during the night time hours. She planted a mouse last year, and it took all winter to get it. At least we haven't heard any scratching, so hopefully it's dead, or gone.

Cousin Linda, Moms sister Bona's, daughter, was killed in a car crash on her way home from thier winter home, in Arizona. Her husband was injured, but he's fine now. The funeral was last week. I didn't go, because it was in Minnesota, and with the gas prices so high, I couldn't afford the trip. She was cremated and buried in the family plot, with her brother Harold. She was in her fifties.

We bought some laminate flooring to put in the living room but we have heaters to move, before we can install it. I'm not familiar with electric that much so I'll have to hire the moving of those to be done.
We've also started painting the garage, we have the first coat on about half of it so far. Now we need to do more scraping before we can continue with that job.

We're still waiting for Greg to bring the lawn mower in. He's working on the one I blew up last year, and he needs to service the other used one I bought, during the winter. It's going to be nice to have two, and use one as a back up in case I 'wreck' another one LOLOLOL

Well that's about it for this time.
See you all, when and if, you ever decide to use this site as a means to visit.
It sure would be nice to be able to do that.

Karen

..... and how is everyone today.
Have you lookied at the calendar? It's already the 30th of April
My, how time flies when you get old....... LOLOL

The snow is all melted, and has been for a couple of days.
But starting tomorrow we will have rain, then a couple of days of snow again. hopefully they are wrong about the snow for our area this time.
It's supposed to be spring not winter.

I hope you get better Wade, and take it easy with your bad shoulder.

We are busy here, with little things. Not a lot to talk about yet, but maybe next time the news will be more.

Have fun at whatever you do, and don't forget to wear your smile, daily.

This tag was made for me by Annette, from a picture we took of our front steps during the 15 inch snow last week

Here it is the 21st of May already
Where has this year gone?

We got our lawn mower finally and mowed the 'hay' LOLOL

The last of the garage finally got scraped, the pastor came and did the peaks for us. We aren't too steady on ladders, my daughter and I.
We painted the third side of the garage last Sunday.
Now we have the fourth side and both peaks to paint, then we start over with the second coat.
We may get to that by next year, at the rate we are moving.

The flooring is still 'resting' in it's boxes.
With the heating season finally over with, maybe now we can afford to have an electritian over to do the heaters, so we can get at that. It's a little tiresome walking on 'sub-floor'. We've only been doing that for two years now. (((sigh)))

We are all fine around here, the animals are thriving. (they are also spoiled)

We got a screen door and installed it on the front entry, so we can get some air in there this summer. It gets sort of musty, because it's also the basement way.

We've been fishing quite often since we got our fishing licenses.
Neither one of us knows how to fillet a fish, but we muddled through, on our first catch, and managed to save enough for a meal LOLOL
I can't say I like that job, so maybe we'll be doing a lot of catch and release this year. Unless we can find someone who actually enjoys carving up a fish.

Well more later, I'm a little stiff today, for some reason. I think we are going to be getting rain, so that may be the cause. You know, the change in the air pressure.

See y'all later
Karen

Hi People
I see I haven't been in to share any news since May..... No news is good news

It's been really dry lately, we sure could use a shower or two. I'm afraid to mow the grass too often, or it will all turn brown.
Annettes rose bush, one of them, has already bloomed. She just bought them a month ago. the other two are still green. one mor than the other.

Our gas prices have leveled out finally. Hopefully they will start to go down now. But I imagine if they do, it will just set the stage for higher than ever prices, next time. That's usually how it works. In any case I'm sure it will be back up to a new high before my next payday. I doubt I'll be cut any breaks LOLOL

We got the mower repairs and car repairs paid this month, so now we're free and clear again. But no extra to fritter away, hopefully we'll have enough to pay the rest of the utilities. We don't have all the bills in our hands, yet. Maybe we'll get the rest of them in the mail tomorrow. Than we can cry

I think we are going to moms in the next day or two. Robbie is supposed to bring a bed, from Richards for us, and drop it off at moms. If he does we'll go get it. We have some fish in the freezer, that we'll take to moms to fry up. She hasn't had fresh caught fish yet this year. Then we'll have to go see if we can get more. Depending on the gas situation. We have to go a minimum of 15 miles every time we go fishing. that's one way.

well not much to report, but I just thought I'd update you a little.

I wish you'd let us in on what's happening where you are too.

Bye for now
Karen
