You can love many things
When they don't love you back
You may love your dog
Or you may love your cat
But, what happens when
You keep them shut inside
They have no where to relieve themselves
They have an accident on the ground
Do you smack his bottom
Do you smack his head
Do you throw him out in the cold
Or do you just roll your eyes
What if its raining outside
Do you keep them out in the wetness
Despite all the suffering
They still love you
The real question here
Is do you you love them back
Love is eternal, forever and always
But, when your love causes pain
You must be ashamed
To stay and just take it
Would be infant like
What are you afraid of
The grown up deep inside
